i am student of b.sc final year and my birth is 21 august 1994. Can i apply for cds exam held in feb 2013?

CDS exam is a common written exam for entering into the Defence services.
it is conducted by UPSC twice a year..

For the CDS exam , the eligibility criterion is given below-

CITIZENSHIP:-
You should have Indian citizenship.

AGE LIMIT:-
Your age should be in the age group of-
19 to 24 years for Army.
19 to 23 years for Air-Force.
19 to 23 years for Navy.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:-
You should have a Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized institute.


so as you are a Bsc final year candidate you can surely appear for the exam.


the exam consists of three papers i.e-

English
Mathematics
General knowledge.

Yes , B.Sc Candidate are applicable for CDS Exam.Final year candidate also applicable for CDS Exam.

Your date of Birth is 21 st aug 1994 so in the time of 2013 your age should be over 19 years old .

Educational Qualification:-

• For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy : Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
• For Indian Naval Academy : Degree in Engineering for CDSE and Degree in Engineering or B.Sc. ( with Physics or Mathematics ) for NCC entry.

Final year candidates can apply for CDS examination but they have to produce the documents during the verification to prove that they have passed the Graduation before the mentioned date.

There is a date mentioned in the CDS notification and you have to be Graduate before that date then only you will be considered for the selection.

CDS Exam is a Combined Defense Services examination and you can join any of the Branch through this exam if you have the qualification.

Age Limit:

Indian Air Force Academy - 19 to 23 years

Indian Naval Academy - 19 to 22 years

Indian Military Academy - 19 to 24 years

Officers' Training Academy - 19 to 25 years

Yes, You can apply for CDS exam being a student of B.Sc. final year provided you fulfill all eligibility criteria.

CDS - Combined Defence Service, the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year as CDS-I and CDS-II for an entry in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy of CDS.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 25 years with good Physical and Mental Health, can apply for CDS.

The candidate having Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Graduation, can apply for allthe four wings of CDS but those having without the above subjects is only eligible to apply for IMA and OTA.

As per your date of birth, you are eligible to apply for all the four wings of CDS.

The age criteria for different wings of CDS are as follows:-

But, the Important thing is that you should clear all subjects without any backlogs then only you're eligible for CDS Entrance Examination.

So, If you have confident that you're pass in all subjects in B.sc Course then you may apply for CDS Entrance Examination.
