How to apply for CDS exam after passing 12th with 53%?


I am 12th pass with 53%(pcm) and i am be final year student so can i apply for cds exam plz send me information

Sorry for Late Reply, But the last date of apply for this year CDS(II) Examination was already passed and I hope that you have already apply for the examination and if in case you missed to apply for this examination, then please wait for next year CDS(I) Examination Notification.

CDS stands for Combined Defence Services examination and this examination is conducted by UPSC, twice in a year and to apply for this examination you need graduate degree course, final year appearing candidates are also eligible to apply for this examination.

If you are Pursuing your BE Final year degree course then you are eligible for this year CDS Examination.

This examination is conducted for the recruitment of IMA/OTA/NAVAL/AIR FORCE Academy. To apply for this examination your age should between 19 to 25 years, But you have to apply for the Academy as per your age eligibility.

To apply for Naval and Air force Academy, you have to complete your Graduation with Maths and Physics as a compulsory subjects, BE Candidates are also apply for these academy. You have to fill the CDS Application form online only. there is no offline application form facility, so please wait for next year Notification and then apply, if you have missed to apply for this examination, for more information check official website of UPSC.

CDS - COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE examination is conducted two time every year by UPSC for entry in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy of CDS.

Sorry, you can not apply CDS after 12th as the minimum academic qualification for CDS is Graduation. So to apply for CDS you have to first complete your Graduation.

To be eligible for CDS one must be an unmarried Indian male/female candidate having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 25 years with good Physical Fitness.

The CDS can be applied through on line by paying requisite fees for the Exam.

CDS Exam Eligibility Criteria:

=>For Indian Military Academy/Officers' Training Academy:
>>You should have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
>>Your age should be between 19-24 years.

=>For Naval Academy:
>>You should have a B.Sc degree in physics or mathematics or a B.Tech degree.
>>Your age should be between 19-22 years.

=>For Air Force Academy:
>>You should have a B.Tech degree or a B.Sc degree in physics or mathematics.

Hai,

You are too late friend, CDS exam was conducted two times in a year, CDS-I exam was already over and CDS-II exam applications was recently closed the last date is 02-07-2012.

But no need to worry you can apply for next year cds exam. The notification was not yet released, So wait for the next year notification.


The candidate who are completes bachelor's degree is eligible for CDS exam. Now you are in BE final year although the final year appearing candidates can also be eligible. So you are also eligible for this exam.
There is no need of percentage restrictions in graduation.

There are four wings in CDS exam.

1. Indian military academy,

2. Indian airforce academy,

3. Indian naval academy,

4. Officer training academy.


The candidate should be a citizen of india.

Also the candidate must be physically fit.

The age limits for every wing is shown below

Indian naval academy--> 19 years to 22 years,

Indian airforce academy--> 19 years to 23years,

Officer training academy--> 19 years to 25 years,

Indian military academy--> 19 years to 24 years.


The selection process is two steps only

1. Written examination,

2. Personal interview.


Syllabus for written examination:-

General english-100 marks,

General knowledge-100 marks,

Elementary mathematics-100 marks.

Total of 300 marks.

A)CDS Educational Qualifications :

1. For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy : Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
2. For Indian Naval Academy : Degree in Engineering for CDSE and Degree in Engineering or B.Sc. ( with Physics or Mathematics ) for NCC entry.
3. For Air Force Academy : Degree of recognized University ( with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level ) or Bachelor of Engineering.
Graduates with first choice as Army / Navy / Air Force are to submit proof of graduation provisional certificates on the date of commencement of the SSB Interview at the SSB.
Candidates who are studying in the final year Degree course and have yet to pass the final year degree examination can also apply but they will be required to submit proof of passing the degree examination to reach the Army HQ / Rtg.

(b) Age Limits

i. For IMA-Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1988 and not later than 1st January, 1994 only are eligible.

ii. For Naval Academy-Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1991 ( 2nd January, 1989 in case of NCC Naval Wing ‘C’ Certificate holders ) and not later than 1st January, 1994 only are eligible.

iii. For Air Force Academy-Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1990 and not later than 1st January, 1994 only are eligible.

iv. For Officers Training Academy – ( SSC Course for Men ) : Male candidates ( married or unmarried ) born not earlier than 2nd January, 1988 and not later than 1st January, 1994 only are eligible.

Candidates are required to apply Online CDS Exam II 2012 by using the link http://www.upsconline. nic.in Detailed instructions for filling up CDS Exam II 2012 Online applications are available on the above mentioned website.

The applicants are advised to submit only single application; however if due to any unavoidable situation, if he / she submits another / multiple applications, then he / she must ensure that Online application for CDS Exam II 2012 with the higher RID ( Registration ID ) is complete in all respects like applicants’ details, examination centre, photograph, signature, fee etc.

The applicants who are submitting multiple applications should note that only the applications with higher RID ( Registration ID ) shall be entertained by the Union Public Service Commission and fee paid against one RID shall not be adjusted against any other RID.

All candidates whether already in Government Service including candidates serving in the Armed Forces, Government owned industrial undertakings or other similar organizations or in private employment should submit their applications online for CDS Exam 2012 direct to the Union Public Service Commission.

Eligibility Criteria :

Indian Military Academy / Officers Training Academy :
any degree from a recognized university or equivalent
Age limits :
Indian Military Academy : 19-24 years
Officers Training Academy : 19-25 years

Naval Academy :

Age limit : 19-22 years

Air Force Academy :
Degree of a recognized university with physics & mathematics at 10+2 level or Bachelor of Engineering
age limit : 19 - 23 years

CDS Stands for Combined Defense Services Examination. The CDS Exam is conducted every year two times by the Union Public Service Commission.

This Examination is for the selection of candidates in the following wings of Indian Defense who are not eligible for the NDA Exam and have interest in joining Indian Defense.

The Wings in which you can join through the CDS Exam are :

The Qualifications Required for CDS Exam are :

** The candidate must have completed graduation in any stream from any recognized college/university.

Dear There,

CDS Stands for Combined Defense Services. The UPSC conducts CDS examination twice in a year to recruit candidates in Indian Defense.

After qualifying the different phases of examination candidates are recruited to the following four wings of Indian Defense on the basis of merit list.

The four wings are :

* Indian Military Academy

* Naval Academy

* Air Force Academy

* Officer`s Training Academy

Different eligibility required to apply for CDS examination are :

* Graduate in any stream from any recognized college / university.

* Final year students of Graduation are also eligible for applying.

* Age eligibility varies for each academy which is mentioned below :

i) Indian Military Academy - 19-22 years

ii) Naval Academy : 19-23 years

iii) Air Force Academy : 19-24 years
