Since you have passed +2 level of examination in Arts Stream, you may pursue Bachelor of Design offered by National Institute of Fashion Technology.

In order to assess your ability to pursue the program, National Institute of Fashion Technology will conduct entrance examination which will comprise of the following:

CREATIVE ABILITY TEST (CAT)
GENERAL ABILITY TEST (GAT)
SITUATION TEST

Once you successfully complete all these stages, you will be considered eligible to pursue Bachelor of Design offered at National Institute of Fashion Technology.

Eligibility criteria for NIFT are given below.

Maximum age is given by 23 years as on 1st October 2012. You must born on or after 1st October of 1989.

Only graduates in B.Des in Fashion Design, leather Design, accessory design, textile design, knitwear design and fashion communication.

You must have done your 12th level of examination from any stream but should be in recognized university or board.

About your query, you are eligible as there is no such percentage criteria for NIFT college.

The only thing you just complete are graduation in above mentioned discipline.

NIFT Stands for National Institute Of Fashion Technology.

The Qualifications required to get admission in NIFT are ;

* You must have completed 12th from any recognized board.

* Your age must lie in between 16-23 years.

* You must be Indian.

So from the above mentioned you can see that there is no percentage bar for admission in NIFT.

NIFT Exam Details:-

Full form of NIFT is National Institute of Fashion Technology. The exam takes place only once a year in the month of February. For both graduation and post graduation course in fashion this exam can be given. There are a large list of course to choose from. The eligibility criteria for different course is different.

To do B.Des in Fashion Design, Leather Design, Accessory Design, Textile Design, Knitwear Design and Fashion Communication firstly you need to be a higher secondary passed out candidate from a recognized institution or school. You can have any subject combination at 10+2 level.

But for a bachelor's degree in fashion technology you need to have physics, mathematics and chemistry as compulsory subjects at 10+2 level. That's a must.

On completing a diploma degree of three or four years' duration from an AICTE recognized institution or State Board Of Technical Education also you are eligible to give this examination.

If you go for B.Des then you need to sit for a written examination which is called the General Ability Test (GAT) and there is a creative ability test too. For candidates applying for B.FTech apart from giving the GAT exam you also need to go through the managerial aptitude test.

Mainly objective questions are asked in the exam and one needs to answer every question cautiously because for each negative answer 0.25 marks will get deducted.

Areas of weightage for the General Aptitude Test:

• Quantitative Ability
• Communication Ability
• English Comprehension
• Business Domain Test and Analytical Ability
