can i give the both exam IPS or IAS, in a same year ..please give me the details

Yes, you can try for IAS and IPS at the same time. Selection process for both the profiles is comparatively same. There is one common gateway for selection, prelims and mains. Those who pass prelims can apply for mains. For IPS, you need to qualify physical efficiency test also.
