my name is prasanjeet sarkar and i am a b.com 2nd year studend from allahabad university, so i am eager to know that can i join indian navy....???

Indian Navy is one of the renowned as well as a respected jobs of the Government of India.

There are two chances every year for you. Generally, examination is held twice a year in the months of June and December every year.

They recruit through a entrance exam named Short Service Commission(SSC).

Eligibility Criteria :-

Nationality : Indian.

Marital Status : Unmarried.

Educational Qualifications :

i)You should pass the 12th or equivalent with Science and Mathematics with 60% or above marks in aggregate and optional as Chemistry or Biology or Computer Science.

ii)You should pass B.Sc in Physics, Mathematics or Electronics with minimum 60% marks.
or
iii)You should pass BE or B.Tech with minimum 65% marks in aggregate in any discipline from any institution recognized by AICTE.
or
iv)You should have M. Sc in Physics, Mathematics or Electronics with minimum 55% marks.

Age Limits :19.5 to 25 years as the examination time.

Physical Standards:-

Height: Minimum 157 cm

Eye standard: Without glasses better eye 6/6 and worse 6/9

Color perception: CP II

The eligible candidates will be called up for Service Selection Board (SSB) based on their educational intelligence in graduation.

Exam Procedure
:
The eligible candidates are called for the written examination of objective-type of 75 minutes which includes:

i)General Science

ii)Mathematics

iii)General Knowledge

iv)General English

No. my friend you can't join in Indian navy after completion of B.com course..

Eligibility for NAVY:-

1.The candidate must have complete the graduation in engineering field.

2.Candidate must have secure 60% aggregate through out the career.

So, you are not eligible for the Indian NAVY..

You can apply for Indian Army instead of that..
For that you have to appear in CDS exam..

So, if you agree with this then go for it...

Being a commerce graduate, you may join the logistics department of the Indian Navy.
To be eligible for the department, apart from being a graduate, you must have scored a minimum of 60% marks in the same.
The minimum eligible age to apply for the exam is 19 1/2 years.
The maximum age limit to apply for the exam is 25 years.


However, for Short Service Commission, in the same department, the minimum marks required is 55%.

After passing B.Com. you can join Indian Navy Logistic Department. The eligible candidate should be a graduate with 60% marks within the age of 19.5 to 25 years of age. For more information youmay log on to www.nausena-bharati.nic.in

Yes shore you are eligible to join indian navy after passing b.com.

For this you have to apply CDS examination.

Eligibility criteria:

The candidate should be complete graduation from any recognised university in india.

Age limits is 19years to 24years.

Candidate should be a citizen of india.

To join in Merchant Navy, you have to appear and qualify UPSC exam.The criteria to attain in the UPSC exam is -

Minimum graduation and qualification with 55% marks.
and age, limit you have to be between 21-29 years.
If your selected in Merchant navy with commerce back ground you may get chance to logistic officer.
In some cases, students who have completed their 12th with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) are eligible to join as Deck Cadets
