After 12th NDA is a Mode through which you can apply for Indian Navy. But Educational Qualification for Indian Navy is at-least 50% in 12th with Maths as a Compulsory Subjects. But as far as UPSC Concern they have not specified the Minimum Marks in 12th.

Just you apply for it. if rejected then it seems your Marks doesn't match with what they have decided.

Indian Navy Conducts Senior Selection Recruitment Exam Every year for Sailors Entry. There is No such Marks Criteria specified by Indian Navy for SSR Entry so you can apply for this.

Basically there are Four Exams for Recruitment as a Sailor in Indian Army they are

Artificer Apprentice,Senior Secondary Recruit, Direct Entry for Diploma Holders & MR/NMRs and Musicians.
This is Only for those Male candidates who has completed their 10+2 Study.

Syllabus Consists of Science, Mathematics, English and General Awareness.Which based on 12th class Topics and its very Easy to Crack it.

To join Indian Navy, you have to sit in the exam of NDA.It conducts by UPSC.
To appear in this exam you should complete your 10+2 with physics and math.
UPSC have not mentioned the minimum percentage for the exam.So you can apply for the exam.
this exam conduct twice in a year.Age should between 16.5 to 19 and only unmarried male candidates can apply for the exam.

can I join Indian navy having secured 65% in 12th?

sir i have secured 48% in 12th and i'm currently doing my 4th year BE branch electronics and comm having an aggregate of 55% with no backlogs.. am i eligible for indian navy??? if so can u please tell me the procedure for joining indian navy?

To join Indian Navy you have to go through NDA exam .NDA is conducted by UPSC .
Eligibility criteria for NDA exam -
1.12th from any recognized board.
2.12th with PCM.
3.Candidate should be in between 16.5 to 19 Years of age .
4.Candidate should be a citizen of India.
5.Final year students are also can apply for the exam .

If you can satisfy all the above you can apply for the exam .

Important Dates for next NDA exam -

Notification date = 31/11/2011
Last date to apply = 30/1/2012
Exam date = 15/4/2012

i have 77% marks in 10 and 57% in 12 and doing b.tech(it) final year and having backlogs. Can i apply for indian navy????

You have to secure minium 60% marks in both 10th n 12th to go in Indian Navy...

I am very sorry to say that, but you are not eligible for this examination(NATIONAL DEFeNCE ACADEMY) Examination, conducted by the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION [UPSC],
Through this examination, one can apply in all the branches of the Indian army, such as in NAVAL , AIR FORCE, MILITARY .
For apply in this examination , you must have a 12th degree from the recognized board.
also for apply in NAVAL & AIR FORCE, you must have subjects Physics & maths , with at least 60% in 12th [aggregate].
The age limit for this examination is 16.5-19 years, also there is not any kind of age limit reservation applicable for any SC\ST candidates..
You must have Indian nationality with marital status unmarried.

I am a girl in final year doing b.e in electrical and electronics having current aggregate of 70% but back in 1st nd 3rd yr which had been cleard already.nd having 83.5% in 10th and 81% in 12th.can i apply for indian navy?is my backlog wil create prblm in my selection?

You can join the Indian Navy having secured 49% in 12th standard.

There is no min percentage required for this exam. But you need the PCM subjects.

To join the Indian Navy you can crack the NDA exam.

NDA exam is conducted by UPSC twice in a year

Indian Air force

Indian Navy

Indian Army

NDA Eligibility :

Candidates must be Indian

Candidates should be complete 12th stands from a recognized University

There is no required percentage in 12th stands

Final year appearing candidates also eligible for apply

Candidates age limit not more then 19 years & not less then 16.5 years

There is no upper age relaxations

Only unmarried male candidates eligible for apply

Selection Process :

Written Test

SSB Interview

Medical Test

Written Test :

Mathematics : Max Marks 300 , Duration 21/2 hrs
General Ability : Max Marks 600 , Duration 21/2
Interview : 900 Marks

You can apply for NDA & NA if you want to join Indian Navy after 12th class. There is no percentage criteria mentioned in the notification by UPSC means you can apply for it without any worry.

Age Limit for NDA Examination:

-Age must be between 16.5 to 19 years.

-Should be unmarried male.

-Should be an Indian Citizen.

Selection Procedure:

-Objective Type Test

-SSB

-Medical Examination

You must be well prepared for this exam then only you can make it into the merit list.

Medical fitness is very important and you should be medically fit according to the norms of UPSC.

Join Indian Navy After 12th

For getting recruited to the Indian Navy after the completion of 12th..you can appear for the National Defence Academy(NDA) which is conducted by UPSC every year in April and August for

> Army Wing
> Naval Wing
> Air Force Wing

Eligibility Requirements for NDA are as follows :

>> Applicant has to be an unmarried male

>> Age of applicant cannot be more than 19 years neither it can be less than 16.5 years

>> Applicant must have cleared 12th with Physics and Maths

>> There is no percentage bar for appearing in NDA..

>> There is no age relaxation for any category in NDA

There will be 2 papers in the written exam :

>> Maths
>> General Ability (General Awareness and Aptitude)

The rounds which are to be cleared for getting the final call :

1st Round : Written Exam

2nd Round : SSB Personal Interview

3rd Round : Medical Examination
