my name is chetan i m BE studant i want to sit cds exam i passed 12th sci,can i sit this exam

CDSE i.e Combined Defense Service Examination which held twice in a year and conducted by union public service commission board of India.

Through This Exam You can join Either Army , Air Force or Navy as per as your Choice filled during Filling of application Form.

Eligibility must be Graduation and Age must be

For IMA i.e Indian Military academy age should be 19 years to 23 years of age. (For This you are Eligible in Educational Point of View)

For IAF i.e Indian Air force age should be 19 years to 23 years.
(Degree of a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.)

For Officer's training academy it should be 19 years to 25 years.
(Degree of a recognized University or Equivalent )

and last for Naval academy it should be 19 to 22 years.
(Degree in Engineering)

B.E i.e Bachelor's of Engineering right !! Yes if you are in Final year you can write the Exam, Prefinal year or being in first year or 2nd year you can't write the Exam.

You are doing BE [Bachelor's of Engineering] If you are finl year student you should eligibal for this CAD EXAM, else you are not.

Since you are pursuing BE, you will be eligible for the combined defense service exam as soon as you qualify the final year examination.
The combined defense service exam is conducted for recruitment of all the major defense forces of India and being an engineer, you will be eligible to apply for any of the four major defense forces training academies:
Indian Military Academy
Indian Naval Academy
Air Force Academy
Officers Training Academy

The minimum eligible age is 19 years and the maximum age limit varies as per the training academies.
For Naval Academy, the maximum age limit is 22 years.
For Air Force Academy, the maximum age limit is 23 years.
For Indian Military Academy, it is 24 years and for Officers Training Academy, it is 25 years.

Combined Defense Services (CDS) Exam is generally conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) to recruit the Indian Military Academy(IMA), Officers Training Academy(OTA), Naval Academy and Air Force Academy(AFA)

General Knowledge
Elementary Mathematics
total 300 marks,each paper 100 marks.

for OTA
All the two papers are of objective type containing the

General Knowledge
total 200 marks,each paper of 100 marks.

ii)Intelligence & Personality test :Generally here checks the Personality of the candidate,GD,group planning, physical fitness test, interview, small lectures on general issues & psychological tests. etc...

iii)Medical test.
After getting selected in interview ,the candidates are called for medical examination which is conducted by Military Hospitals.

Pre-Commission training After getting final selected the candidates are called for Training.

First of all CDS stands for Combined Defence Academy and this exam is conducted by UPSC(Union Pubic Service Commission).This exam is conducted every year twice namely as CDS I, CDS II.

This exam is one of the Defence service exam of India,this exam is mainly conducted for candidates to join in:

• Indian Military Academy.
• Indian Navy
