Can I start a teaching career without having experience in teaching? I have done M.A Economics


Hi,

I have no experience of teaching & I am MA - Ecomonics. Can I start a teaching career now at the age of 40

Yes, you can definitely enter teaching line after completing M.A Economics even if you donít have experience in teaching. To teach in private colleges, a post graduation is enough but so as to teach in government colleges or universities you need to qualify NET exam conducted by UGC. A post graduation in any subject area is the main criterion to apply for the NET exam. There is no upper age limit for attending this exam. Hence you can start a teaching career even at an age of 40.

I am b.ed so ma in eng is good option or economices or i should go for m.ed for collage level teaching.
