Re: Can one pursue engineering after BSC.?
If you want to switch to Computer Science after Bachelor degree then Better to opt for B.sc (MAthematics). It will be much better and comfortable to explore a good career in CS having a background in Mathematics.
Also because if you would like to switch to B.Tech after B.sc (MAthematics) then there are many good Institutes which offers direct admission to students having Meritoreous background in B.sc (MAthematics) also with some concession. While some institutes have criteria that candidates with B.sc (MAthematics) or B.sc (physics) are allowed to appear for lateral entry. Besides these, if you would like to Enroll for MCA then also there you will find it easy to enter. Dont worry go for it. Best of Luck Regards ~Faiyaz~ |

Re: Can one pursue engineering after BSC.?
To pursue Engineering in Computer Science you must possess strong foundation of both Maths and Science at Degree Level.
If you take Maths & Physics as your main subject, it will be much easy to go for B.E.(computer science) Career options: Software/Hardware Engineers are of high demand nowadays in India and abroad. You can get a job in various environment as Research, public sector, private sector, Govt. sector, business organizations, commercial organizations. You can even think of setting up own business if you hold a degree in Computer Science. |

Re: Can one pursue engineering after BSC.?
More or less both are Good options. But comparetively persuing M.Tech after M.sc gets some what tougher for candidates thats because lead are taken by B.Tech students as GATE is the Only way to get into Good Engineering Institute. Also there is no lateral entry in M.Tech. So, I think B.Tech after B.sc (Maths/Physics/Electronics) is the best option. Regards ~Faiyaz~ |

Re: Can one pursue engineering after BSC.?
For your information, most of the students doing engg.are rather getting placed in software company or other non related fields
you can pursue engg. even after b.sc .So, to get into core, you have to be updated of Electronic companies like BSNL, Airtel, Nokia, Sony and so on by browsing their websites. Try to collect all BSNL old question papers and work it out. Dont get deviated to software field.Enhance your interest on Electronics. You will attain a great job. All the best Reply With Quote |

Re: Can one pursue engineering after BSC.?
Hi
Yes you can do engineering after your BSC. But he eligibility required for that you should have degree in Science (B.Sc.) with mathematics as a subject with minimum of 60% marks 55% for SC/ ST candidates . This criteria may be different for different colleges. You will get admission in second year if you do engineering after you BSC. So there is no problem in doing engineering in computer science if you have a interest in computers and you will easily get admission into second year in engineering after you BSC. GOOD LUCK |

Dear friend,
you can always do b.tech after M.tech no doubt...but why do you want to do b.tch after reading +3 ?? best option would be rather you go for MBA..take coaching in renowned institutes such as IMS http://www.imsindia.com or TIME...and you can get B.tech equvalent jobs after that...but remember...dont let your M.sc option neglected...try pursuing M.Sc also...this will increase your qualification to a great extent...This is the time to study...You will have enough Jobs waiting for you |

ok. first you have asked that can one pursue engineering after b.sc, surely, you can study B.E. or B.Tech if you have physics , chemistry and maths as your subjects in b.sc degree.then through AIEEE exam , or WBUT joint exam you can be selected for engineering courses.but i will make you clear that after you have studied b.sc there is no need of b.tech degree, you can go for MCA or MBA degree. After B.Sc MCA degree is more prefferable if you are interested in computer. And if you are careeristic and wants to be proffesionals then please go for MBA.thanks for your question. |

Hello Friend
Yes you can take admission under the lateral entry scheme. Students with a B.Sc. degree with mathematics as a subject and 60% aggregate at the Undergraduate level can gain lateral entry into the second year or III semester of the B.E. / B.Tech course. So you are eligible for this ,but you will have to sit in the exam and have to qualify in the same... All the best.. |

Re: Can one pursue engineering after BSC.?
yes ,you can pursue the engineering after the b.sc ,
but you have to give the different engineering entrance exams, and after passing the exam you can take the admission, but i will not support for this because this is only a waste of the time, so after b.sc you can go for the job or you can go for the m.sc. |
