IES Indian Engineering services is the powerful position in the government this post and power are given through a entrance examination called IES examination.

this examination is conducted by UPSC . UPSC is a govt body . which is the committed to intake qualified personnel into the central govt jobs in order to protect the harmony of India.

yes as a ECE student you are eligible for the IES entrance.examination.
for your information I want to add that the exam is going to be conducted in the next year feb 25th so start preparing from now.

IES is eligible for given below department of engineering.

1.Civil Engineering
2.Electrical Engineering
3.Mechanical engineering.
4.Electronics and Communication Engineering.

So you are eligible for IES exam.Because you have passed your graduation degree.

The applicant age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.

NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS:


4 attempts for General category candidates
7 attempts for OBC category candidates
Unlimited attempts for sc/st category candidates

Hello,
IES that is Indian Engineering services held every year. This exam is conducted by the UPSC.
The eligibility criteria to appearing for the exam is B.Tech or equivalent degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, etc..are required.
A computer science/IT student can't apply for this exam.
As you are belonging to the Electronics branch, so you are eligible for the exam.
The age limit is maximum 30 years. 35 years for the reserved candidates.
You can apply for the exam from the pre final year of the engineering.

every BTECH/BE graduate is eligible for Indian Engineering Service
exam is going to be conducted of feb 25th of next year....

Dear friend,
IES(India Engineering Service) is one of the reputed examination,and very prestigious also.
This exam is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Secvice Commission) once a year and the criterion is :
1)Candidate must be an Engineer from any of the below branch--
Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Electronics and Communication Engineering
Civil Engineering
NOTE:There is not any cutoff marks.
As you belongs to ECE and have the degree you are eligible for this exam,you can also visit there website: www.upsc.gov.in

dear friend,
IES exam is a civil service exam, which is conducted by UPSC every year for the engineers.. As you have done your bachelor degree in ECE then you are eligible to appear in IES exam...
Eligibility for IES exam:-

Educational qualification:-

*The candidate must have complete the bachelor degree in any of these streams-Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical/civil..
But students from other engineering branch can also appear in this exam, in that case they have to write the exam in the syllabus of any of these above mentioned four streams..
*The candidate should not have any due backlogs during graduation.

Age criteria:-

*The candidates age should be in between 21-30 years..
For SC/ST the age relaxation is 5years, and for OBC the age relaxation is 3 years..

These are the criteria you have to fulfill to appear in UPSC exam...

I.E.S. stands for Indian Engineering Service. This exam is conducted by U.P.S.C.
Yes, you can apply for Engineering service exam.
As you are Engineering degree holder you can apply for engineering service examination.

ELIGIBILITY:-

1) You must have completed your engineering with following streams.
--Civil Engineering
--Electrical Engineering
--Mechanical engineering.
--Electronics and Communication Engineering

2)Your age should not be less than 21 years & should not be more than 30 years
The upper age limit is relaxed to SC,ST & OBC candidates.

3)You must be physically fit for applying for the post.

4)You must be Indian citizen.

Number of attempts:-
--4 for open category
--7 for OBC
--Unlimited for SC/ST candidates.

HOW TO APPLY:-

You can either apply in offline or online.

For applying offline, candidates have to purchase application form from designated post offices by the cost of 20/-

electronics and telecom engineering ppl can apply for upsc -ese 2013 so does ece branch comes under electronics and telecom engineering?

Yes you can apply for the Indian Engineering Service exam by the Union Public Service Commission. Electronics and Communication Engineers are eligible for the Indian Engineering Service entrance exam.

It is among the toughest and very reputed entrance exams. The government of India offers jobs in various government departments through this entrance exam. These jobs are related to defence, railways, roads, highways etc.

The candidate starts the career as Assistant Executive Engineer when selected through the Indian Engineering Service, that goes up to Engineer-in-Chief, Director General etc.

As a Electronics and Communication Engineer you will be able to apply for jobs in the following departments:-

Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineers

Indian Railway Stores Service

Indian Inspection Service

Indian Naval Armament Service

Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS)

Corps of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (EME)

Wireless Planning and Co-ordination Wing

Indian Navy

Indian Supply Service (Directorate General of Supply and Disposals)

Indian Telecommunication Service


Eligibility Criteria

1. You should either be Indian/Nepali national or subject of Bhutan.

2. You should have completed the ECE course from recognized university.

3. There is no percentage criteria.

4. The candidate should be able to meet age limit of 21 to 30 years.

5. Up to 3 years relaxation for OBC.

6. No more than 5 years relaxation for SC/ST.
