Since your a Mechanical Engineering student hence you can even go through the IES examination conducted by the UPSC Board.Through IES exam you can enter into various Government Sectors like Defense, Railways and even core companies.There are many exams even conducted by the State's Public Service Commission(PSC).It's better that you go through newspapers daily or the weekly journal Employment News for details regarding notifications about the exams.

Hi, you being a mechanical engineer are eligible for post of engineer in any factory,steel plant, industries etc.

You can also join the software sector or any private manufacturing firm.

Being a B.Tech student there are a whole lot of govt services you can go for.
1. Armed forces- you can join the Indian Armed forces through the CDS entry or technical graduate entry , ground duties entry.
2.You can join nationalized banks as IT manager , this sector is fast growing.
3. You can join government organisations like DRDO, HAL, NIC & so on.
4. And keep going through Employment news , many advertisements can be found regarding need of B.Tech IT graduates for govt organisations.

After graduation you can join big join corporations like baja auto,tata motors,maruti suzuki,mahindra & mahindra,whirlpool,videocon
You can also go for higher studies if you want

After graduation in mechanical engineering you can opt one of the following other than ME or M.Tech.-
you can go to defence services if you are interestedin that and you have a great desire to serve our country. you can give test of Merchant Navy if your age is under 25.
you can also sit in the civil services exam like IAS, PCS etc.
if you want to do job, you can go for interview in some companies like Jindel Steel, NTPC etc.
you can also join ISRO or DRDO as a scientific assistant or scientific helpers
you can also apply for teaching in Inter colleges
and you can also do MCA or MBA or PGDM from a good ranking college if you are interested in computer engineering or in marketing line accordingly.
there are some other options also like self business, coaching centre.

I am going to complete BE with 65 percent from kashmir university.Any options for me.
