Chemical engg. is a good option but the thing is that this field is not in a boom that much as the other branches. but if you are interested in chemical engg. then you will go for that . the best effort in which you give you have to go for that only.

as a chemical engineer you can join any industry because it has large and vast field.like Aerospace industry,biotechnology, nanotechnology,mining process, mineral based industries, petrochemical, cement plants, pharmaceuticals, synthetic fibres,Rubber, chemical engineering designs, improved methods of production,software desigh,glass,textile,gas etc etc. and marketing also.

so do not bother about that.and do not confused between chemistry and chemical engg.because in chemical engg there is 10% chemistry,but rest 90% is physics and mathematics.more over physical property/behaviour on chemical/fluid/liquid and their mathematical calculation.is called chemical engineering.
