What type of course I should do after 12th for getting into Civil Services? Will I be able to crack exams if I do normal B.Com? Also, let me know what other career option are available in same stream?

It is compulsory to have a graduation degree to be eligible for Civil Services examination. You can opt any stream Arts, Science, Commerce or any other.

Eligibility criteria are mentioned below:-
Candidate must be a graduation degree holder from a recognized university.
Candidate must have scored at least 45 percent marks in graduation.
Candidate age should be 21 years to 30 years. For OBC it is 33 years and SC/ST it is 35 years.

You can do graduation in any subject whichever you like. Civil Services Examination (CSE) minimal criteria for appearing in the examination is a bachelor's degree from a recognised university in India.

You can crack CSE with B.Com as your graduation subject as your degree will have subjects like Accountancy, Mathematics etc which will be beneficial for you while picking up optional subjects in CSE. However, if you want an edge over aspirants you can choose B.A as your graduation because it will help excel you in general studies part which is the core area of civil services examination.

1) You are eligible to give almost every competition exams like SSC, UPSC, IBPS etc.

2) You can join as accountant with many renowned private firms.

3) You can pursue M.B.A over it to take jobs in HR department.
