Sir,i am in 10TH standard and my ambition is to become an I.A.S officer.i am very briliant in mathamatics and science but not so in history.so, i want to start preparetion for I.A.S which subject and which school is suitable after 10TH for this.

as you want to become IAS officer then you have to appear in Civil service examination. the eligibility criterion to appear in civil service examination is candidate should have minimum of graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university. age must be in between 21 to 30 for general category candidate to appear in civil service examination. relaxation in upper age limit are available for reserved candidates.

so now you are in 10th standard. so after 10th you have to pass 12th and after that graduation. now there are some compulsory paper in civil service examination. so there are no option for it. you must appear in those paper. but there are two optional papers also there. you may choose any two paper from a list of subject in which you want to appear in main civil service examination.the list of optional subjects are

now as you like mathematics so one subject you should choose mathematics. other subject should be choose according to your graduation study. if you do graduation in engineering then choose subject from engineering. if you do graduation in other field then choose from that. choose subject in which you have interest and also you know that subject very well.

The job of an IAS officer is a demanding one. The IAS entrance exam is a tough one to crack. It is a very good idea to plan for it from your 10th. Since you are good in science and mathematics you will have to concentrate on other subjects like history and current affairs. Previous questions papers are there in plenty for you to practice and work it out. Dedicated preparation will definitely help you to reach your goal.
