After i pass the I.P.S examination how many years i take to being a I.P.S officer ?

UPSC conducts Civil Services Exam every year for the posts of IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, etc.

After qualifying this exam, candidates selected for the posts of IPS go through a special training of 2 years.

After this 2 years of special training in Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad they are recruited as IPS Officer in Indian Police.

Eligibility Criteria of IPS Exam:

Qualification:

You must have completed Graduation from any recognized University.

You can also appear for this exam, if you are in final year of your Graduation.

Age Criteria:

For General: 21 to 30 years

For OBC: 21 to 33 years

For SC/ST: 21 to 35 years

No. of Attempts:

For General: 3

For OBC: 7

For SC/ST: No Restriction

Stages to Qualify IPS Exam:

>> Preliminary Exam (CSAT Exam)

>> Mains Exam

>> Personal Interview

Physical Standards required in Civil Services Exam for IPS:

Height:
For Males: Minimum height is 165 cm,
For Females: Minimum height is 150 cm.

Other than General Category Candidates, minimum required height is 160 cm for Male and 145 cm for Female Candidates.

Chest:
For Males: Minimum 84 cm, and should be expandable up to 5 cm
For Females: Minimum 79 cm, and should be expandable up to 5 cm

IPS(Indian Police Service) exam is held by UPSC(Union Public Service Commision) to recruit various officess of police.
Imidiately you pass IPS you get the tital of IPS officer. Imidiately you pass IPS exam the first you will be posted for training. After training of 2year you may be posted as a senior inspector. Leter on you can become ACP and leter SP.

Here are some tips by which you can score good marks.

1) Prepare Time Table: Try to study as least four subjects out of total five per day. This will keep your memory sharp for all subjects. Then spend one hour for a single subject. It means, you to give four hours daily for your all four subjects. But dont study continuously. Just make a schedule

2) Study with Short Breaks: Do not study continuously for more than 30 to 45 minutes.
Give a break of five to ten minutes in between two sessions.

3) Explain to yourself: Pretend you are both the student and the teacher, and try to explain the chapter or study topic to yourself.

4) Discuss: Discuss important study topics with a willing classmate. Holding such discussion will jog your memory. This is like another form of revision.

5) Sleep Well: Sleep for at least six hours. Eight hours is best.
