IPS-INDIAN POLICE SERVICE, to become an IPS officer one has to appear and crack the Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year.
The candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years of age which the upper age relaxed for SC/ST candidate up to 5 years and up to 3 years for OBC candidate. Apart from this there is certain prescribed Physical Fitness test for those applying for IPS. The selection is through stages:- CSAT-Civil Service Aptitude Test-Preliminary exam Civil Service Main Exam Personal Interview As you are pursing BCA which is a Graduation Degree course, so after completion of which you can apply for IPS through appearing Civil Service Exam. You need to be graduate for taking IPS Exam. the advertisement is out on upsc for recruitment of IAS/IPS preliminary exam. You should be graduate and in age between 21- 30 years for being eligible for IAS/IPS exam.

thats goog you want to become IPS officer. Eligibility for IPS: Age requirement: During the year of applying for the examination the candidate must have attained 21 years of age on 1st of August. So, minimum age limit is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 30 in the case of candidates coming under general category and 33 for OBC candidates and 35 for candidates coming under SC/ST category. In the case of ex-servicemen an age relaxation of 5 more years is given. Educational qualification: The candidate must be a degree holder of any discipline from a recognized university. The candidates who are in the final year of their degree course can also apply for the examination. Candidate who have completed their M.B.B.S., but not have completed the required internship during the time of submission of the application to the main examination will be provisionally admitted for the main examination. Physical qualification for IPS: Height: The male candidate should be 165cm and female candidate should be 150cm for general category candidates. In the case of candidates coming under SC/ST/OBC the height required is 160cm for male and 145cm for female. Chest: Minimum requirement in the case of male candidates is 84cm and they should be able to expand the chest for 5cm. In the case of female candidates the minimum requirement is 79cm and they should be able to expand the chest for 5cm. Eye sight: 6/12 or 6/9 distant vision for worse eye and 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. Near vision for worse eye is J2 and for good eye is J1. Yes shore you can eligible for the IPS exam, If you want to becomm an IPS officer then you need apply for Indian Civil Services Examination (ICWE) which is conducted by the UPSC once in a year. This is conducted by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) and the examination is divided in to three successive stages. 1. The Preliminary Examination and 2. The Main Examination. 3. In order to become an IPS officer the first step is to appear for the UPSC exam. There will be a notification of the exam if the leading newspapers, Gazette of India. As part of the exam the candidates will be first required to undergo the preliminary test. If they qualify for the same then the main test and finally the final interview. For the prelims you need to prepare yourself in the area of general knowledge and the one of the optional subjects mentioned in the list of subjects in the application form. For the general knowledge area you need to be thorough in the current affairs. In the main paper you need to appear for 9 papers which include papers in English, one of the languages in India, two papers on general knowledge, an essay paper. The last four papers will from the optional subjects you choose from. On clearing the mains you will be called for the final interview. In order to be eligible to appear for these exams you need to be first of all an Indian citizen, minimum age of 21years. Also you need to be a degree holder or at least in the final year of degree.

First of all, you need to attend UPSC Civil Services exam in order to become an IPS officer. A preliminary exam needs to be attended first. On clearing preliminary level, the main examination can be attended. The age limit to apply for the same is 21 30 years. If you are able to clear both the levels of exam will get call to attend a physical test and P.I as well. More information on this will be available in UPSC site.

BCA graduate is eligible for the Indian Police Service therefore whenever the forms are made available by the Union Public Service Commission you should apply for the Civil Service Examination.
The criteria for IPS is graduation degree which you meet. Other important criteria are physical requirements that each candidate has to meet due to the nature of work has to be carried out by the IPS Officer. Eligibility 1. You should be of Indian origin. 2. Graduation degree in any discipline. 3. There is no percentage criteria. 4. The age limit is 21 to 30 years as on August 1 of examination year. 5. There is upto 3 years relaxation for OBC. 6. SC and ST get 5 years relaxation. Physical Requirements Height Male - 165 cm (General/OBC/SC) and minimum of 160 cm for Schedule Tribe (ST). Female - 150 cm (SC/OBC/General) and minimum of 145 cm for Schedule Tribe (ST). Chest Male Minimum 84 cm.
