Is there any exemption for teachers who have done their PTC or BEd before 2010, or is it compulsory for all the teachers to do it irrespective of their year of passing PTC or BEd?

Re: Difference between CTET & TET Exam? How to apply for TET Exam?
There isn't much difference between TET and CTET. TET stands for Teachers Eligibility Test while CTET stands for Central Teachers Eligibility Test. If you want government school teacher job then these are the exams for you.
The difference is that TET is conducted on state level. Each state conducts a TET exam to recruit teachers for state government funded schools. The responsibility of conducting the exam is given to Education Board of each state. While CTET is a central level exam which is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education on the behalf of Ministry of Human Resources and Development. Clearing CTET exam will get you job in Kendriya Vidhalaya, Tibetan Schools etc. You have the option of appearing in any of these exams. These exams were introduced to improve the quality of education in government schools. The criteria for both exams is the same. However CTET is considered to be more difficult exam to clear in comparison to TET. Please remember that you can only apply for teaching job in the same state where you appeared for TET exam. After clearing TET of Gujarat, you can not get teaching job in Maharashtra. Eligibility 1. You should be Indian citizen. 2. A graduation degree in any stream. 3. At least 50 percent marks in graduation. 4. A B.Ed degree is also required. 5. There is no upper age limit for CTET. However there could be for state TET exams. You need to score 60 percent marks in the TET Exam to clear it. Candidates belonging to SC/ST need 55 percent marks. To apply for TET exam first you need to decide upon the state then wait for the official notification from the state government for TET exam. Follow the procedure mentioned in the notification to apply for the exam. |

Re: Difference between CTET & TET Exam? How to apply for TET Exam?
Congratulation for qualifying in the CTET examination. CTET stands for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test and after qualifying in the examination you are eligible to get the recruitment as teacher in the central government schools.
But if you want to become the teacher in the state government schools you have to qualify in the STET examination conducted by the State education board. The eligibility is same as for the CTET. So to get the more information about the examination procedure and details about it visit at the state board official website. |
