Re: What is the difference between CTET and TET?
CTET stnads for the Central Teacher Eligibility test and it is conducted by the CBSE every year.
The examination is conducted for the recruitment of the teachers in the different central government institute such as in the Kendriya Vidyalaya or the JNV. TET stands for the Teacher Eligibility Test and it is also conducted for the recruitment on the teacher post but only in the state government schools. So if you are appearing in the TET conducted by the Karnataka government you are eligible to join only the government schools of the Karnataka government. |

CTET and TET, both tests are conducted for assessing the eligibility of a candidate whether he/she can teach in primary or secondary schools or not. The authority conducting the exams is the main difference between the two.

This test is conducting by the Central Government for candidates who want to become teacher in primary and secondary schools depending upon their qualification. The academic qualification for the primary schools and secondary schools is different. Those who clear the test becomes eligible for teaching and are recruited when vacancies are out. On the other hand TET stands for the Teacher Eligibility test and it is conducted by respective state government for recruitment of teachers in state government schools. You can appear for both CTET and TET. |
