Re: Eligibility to apply in CDS exam for a candidate whose BSc final year result is awaiting?
Yes. Candidates who are pursuing final year of B.Sc course or the candidates who have appeared for final year exams of B.Sc course and waiting for the results can apply for CDS Exam.
But please make a note of it. You should be able to show the proof of passing in Graduation by the date which will be specified by Commission. If you are not able to show the proof by that date, then you would not be given job opportunity though you are qualified in the selection process. CDS Exam will be conducted by UPSC twice a year. Through this Exam, the candidates can make entry into below Defence wings : Indian Military Academy Indian Naval Academy Indian Air Force Academy To be eligible to apply for IMA, candidates should have completed Graduation with any of the stream. But to apply for Naval or Air Force, it is must and should that the candidate should have gone through Mathematics and Physics as the compulsory subjects either in 10+2 or in Graduation. As you are from Science stream in B.Sc course, I don't think you would be having Mathematics subject. If you have gone through Mathematics and Physics subjects at your 10+2, then you are eligible to apply for all the Defence services. If you did your 10+2 also with Science stream and without Mathematics subject, then you are eligible to join only IMA (Indian Military Academy). For CDS 2 Exam of this academic year, notification has not been released yet. We can expect the notification in the month of August. In the meantime, you can have good preparation for the Entrance Exam. |
