Good colleges for MA in Economics? Admission Procedure?
hello..m a student of bangalore university doing my 2nd year degree in b.a with pol sc, socio,economics as my subjects!...want 2 do my m.a in ecnomics so need some good college lyk dsc, lse !..what do u suggest me 2 do inorder 2 get into these colleges? plss do reply i really need ur help!

So, if you are interested in this course, then please check these given colleges - Ethiraj College, chennai Lovely Professional University, jalandhar H.R College of Commerce & Economics, mumbai Presidency College, Chennai Fergusson College, pune Loyola College, mumbai St. Stephens College, delhi Eligibility - The eligibility for M.A Economics programme is a Bachelor’s degree in Economics / Mathematics / Statistics / Physics / Engineering under the 10+2+3 pattern of education with at least 50% marks in aggregate and with either Mathematics or Statistics as a subject. Admissions Procedure- The admission to the programme is through an all-India written test. The test is intended to evaluate the knowledge of candidates in micro-economics, macro-economics, mathematics, and statistics and some related subjects such as public economics and economic development. Basically, two types of questions have to be answered in the three-hour test- firstly, questions requiring precise and short answers, and secondly, essay-type questions with specified word limits. Sets of previous questions papers for the programme can be obtained from the University at a nominal cost. More than 1000 applications are received for the 20 seats in our MA programme. Foreign students are exempt from appearing for the written test. They can apply for admission directly as per JNU guidelines given in the prospectus. |

You are talking about LSE London School of Economics and Political Science. Let me tell you this school ranked 1 in world for Economics according to QS University World Ranking for 3 consecutive years 2009/10/11.
If you wich to do your masters in economics from any foreign university then there is no better college then LSE. LSE offers a 2years MSc Economics (hons) degree.
