Re: Is it a good option to choose MCA without having programming skills and having interest in teaching kids?
i think everyone should go according to their interest. because if you have no interest in any field and if you work on that you will never succeed. as you want to teach small kids then there is not need of MCA degree. graduation degree is more than sufficient to teach small kids.
but beside small kids if you want that later you will teach college students then obviously you should have master degree. then in that sense you should do your post graduation. you are not so much good in programming it does not mean that you should not go for MCA. in MCA you may learn programming a well manner and may be after MCA you will be good in programming. programming is not so much difficult that you can not learn, easily you will learn programming if you give attention on that. i think you should not be confused. if you want to teach only kids then don't go for post graduation but if you have a plan that you will be in teaching profession but will teach to the college students then go for MCA. best of luck. |

hi....
you know that you are not good in programming... even if you prefer your parents words in this situation, you will suffer along your life time.... what if you wont even get a job.... ??? but you already know that you are good in teaching. you know what? teachings brings you good name, a good level in the public, respect out of all this, your self satisfaction... just think of it.. your parents may understand that in future.... dont step wrongly.... i knew this kind of situation personally.... so i dont want to see you in my reflection.... aware of your career... i hope you will become a nice teacher..... all the best.... |

hi
go to your intersted way. but the main thing is teaching the small kids not a high salary job. so, if you intersted in teaching students then you apply for b. ed. or a post graducate course. then you also be able to teach high classes student like in inetr college or degree college. this is the best way for you to achieve his aim in own intersted way. thanks. |

since you are not interested in programming, you must not do MCA because there are a lot of programming languages that you will face while doing MCA. if you are not interested in them, then you will not be able to do good in them. you are interested in teaching and for that only graduation of enough because a lot of teaching jobs are available for graduation students. there is no need to do post graduation. you must convince your parents to not force you. |

Re: Is it a good option to choose MCA without having programming skills and having interest in teaching kids?
You have clearly mentioned that your hobby is teaching small kids...
So you should become a primary or high school teacher. You can also become a teacher after doing MCA, but since you not strong in programming (am MCA student have to be very strong on that), so its better not to waste 3 years behind this course..... Instead you can do B.Ed....it is a one year course and after that you can apply for primary and school teacher's job. So try to convince your family and tell them that which one is more suitable for you...' Having lots of degree is not enough if they are of no use...... |

Re: Is it a good option to choose MCA without having programming skills and having interest in teaching kids?
Look this is always advised to persue a career in which you have genuing interests. Cause money is not everything. To be happy in your life you must enjoy your work. There is lot of value of satisfaction and fulfilment of desire in life.
If you have planned to teach kids forever then MCA is not required. Another thing you should remember after completing MCA you will be able to teach MCA students. Except teaching kids is a hobby for you, if you have special ability to teach you can go for post graduation. Now you will join MCA or not it depends on your interest. MCA is a post graduation course. Specialisation in any field is not recommeded unless you have genuine interest for that. There is no rule that for joining MCA you have to be very good in programing. But if you don't feel any attraction for computer field, you won't succeed. Considering this points you have to take decision yourself. This is all I can say to you. |

Re: Is it a good option to choose MCA without having programming skills and having interest in teaching kids?
I think you should complete your MCA because at some stage of your career when you will be in need of Master's degree at any part of your life and at that time if you will not be able to do Masters then you will feel that you should have gone for your masters at that time but will feel bad.
If you are not interested in MCA and you are not comfortable with programming then you can go for MBA. After MBA you will be having better opportunities then after BCA. But if you only wants you teach kids then there is no need to do Masters. |
