Re: How to appear for NET SET exam if I am a student of M.A Part I?
You can appear for National Eligibility Test since you have doing post graduation course. NET is the exam for candidates interested in college lectureship and PhD. To appear for the exam you will have to wait for the official notification by University Grants Commission.
You need to wait for official notification since it mentions the date of applying for the exam and the procedure. Normally the application form has to be submit online. All these details are mentioned in the notification. Since NET exam is conducted in June and December, the notification is issued couple of months ahead of the exam. Please check the eligibility criteria below. Eligibility 1. Only Indian nationals can apply. 2. You should have post graduation degree in any discipline. 3. At least 55 percent marks in post graduation. 4. SC/ST need 50 percent marks. 5. Students in final year of post graduation can also apply. 6. But such students should submit their PG degree within 2 years of clearing NET. Unable to do so or failed to meet percentage criteria would result in disqualification. 7. Your NET subject should be relevant to PG course. 8. There is no restriction on number of attempts. Age Limit For JRF General - 28 years. OBC - 31 years. SC/ST - 33 years. There is no age limit for college lectureship. |
