Hey friend,

Being a Final year candidate you can join in Indian Army which is one of the defence force of India by being a B.Tech final year candidate.

You need to write the entrance exam for joining in Indian Army and as per the qualification which you possess.

Being a final year candidate the entrance exam which you can write are:

> CDS Stands for Combined Defence Service

> UES stands for University Entry Scheme


You can write these exams as regarding the education qualification which you have but apart from that there are certain other criteria's which you need to possess and they are listed below for reference:

Eligibility For CDS:

This exam can be a candidate who is a citizen of India and must be a unmarried male candidate.

The age limit needed is that the candidate must have 19-24 years.

Education qualification for the exam is that the candidate must have completed a degree from a recognized university.

Even final year candidates are eligible for the exam

Eligibility for UES:

Candidate appearing for the exam must be a citizen of India

Only unmarried male candidate are eligible for the UES Exam.

The age limit for the exam is that the candidate must have 19-25 years of age.

The education qualification for the exam is that the candidate must have completed a degree from a recognized university.Even final year candidates can apply for the exam

If you are satisfying them all then you can apply for the exams.

---Age of the candidate should be 19 to 25 yrs as on first day of the month in which course is due to commence

--Qualification---Engineering Degree candidates of pre-final year can apply from a recognized notified branch and university.

--SSB likely to be on July/August in final year.

--unmarried candidates can apply.


---------------for Combined defense services exam-----------------

Eligibility criteria

---unmarried male candidates can apply.

--Age of the candidate should be 19 to 24 yrs as on first day of the month in which course is due to commence .

--Qualification---Engineering Degree candidates of final and pre-final year can apply from a recognized notified branch and university.


----------------for TGC Entry scheme---------------------------

Eligibility Criteria

The options avaialable for engineering students are UES, TGC and SSC.
The final year and pre final year engineering candidates can apply for University Entry Scheme. The notification for the same is not out yet and will be soon released in July. Only male candidates can apply for it.

However the Btech male candidates can also apply for TGC/SSC(Technical) and female candidates can apply for SSCW(T)

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

-THe candidate must be a citizen of India, subject of Bhutan or Nepal or Tibetan refugee

Age limit

UES- the age of the candidate must not be less than 18 years and not more than 24 years.

TGC- the age of the candidate must not be less than 20 years and not more than 27 years.

SSC (TECH) MEN- the age of the candidate must not be less than 20 years and not more than 27 years.

SSC (TECH) WOMEN- the age of the candidate must not be less than 20 years and not more than 27 years.

Pre final year students can apply for UES and final year students can apply for the rest.

Last year for UES there were a total of 60 vacancies as follows

Application procedure for UES

You will have to download common application form from Indian army's website - www.joinindianarmy.nic.in

Then you will have to apply on the plain paper as per the format prescribed.
Then on the outside of the application form you will have to write - APPLICATION FOR 23 UES ENTRY - ........... ENGINEERING indicating your branch of engineering with red ink.

You will also have to submit 2 self addressed unstamped envelopes for receiving details
then you will have to submit the form envelope at the respective headquarter, the addresses will be given in the notification.

Application procedure for TGC, SSC (Tech, men and women)

You can fill the online application form from www.joinindianarmy.nic.in after the release of notification. After that you will have to print the application and send it to the following address -

Actually , there are many jobs for the B.tech graduates in Defence services

There are some Entrance exams also to join Defence services

For all the jobs , you can apply either by ,

1. Online mode
or
2. Off line mode


--> You can apply for the post of Technical officer in ARMY
Age should be between 19-31 years
You should have secured a minimum of 60% in B.tech to apply fro the post


--> you can apply for the post of SUBINSPECTOR (ELECTRICAL ) in DIRECTORTATE GENERAL BORDER SECURITY FORCE
Age should be between 18-25 years


** You can apply for the Entrance exams like ,

* CDS EXAM
* AFCAT EXAM
* UES EXAM


CDS EXAM : - (Combined Defence Service Exam )

My dear friend while in B.Tech final year Army visits many colleges for selecting B.Tech students. So you can go for campus placemen by fulfilling their requirements. By that time you should not be having any backlog if you want to go into Army.
Apart from this option you can also go for UES and the CDS exams for defence services. Thanks
