How to become an IFS officer? I am studying in civil engineering diploma course


i am a student of civil engineering (diploma course) from shillong polytechnic, meghalaya. i want to write Indian Forest Service (IFS) after my b.tech course. i am planning to take civil engineering as my optional subject. so how to start preparation for this exam from now.

IFS stands for Indian Forest Service Exam.This exam is conducted by UPSC.

Those candidate who have completed graduation degree from Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a degree in Agriculture or Forestry or Engineering of a recognized University or equivalent are eligible for IFS exam.

If You have completed B.Tech degree then you are eligible for IFS exam.

Final year student are eligible for IFS exam

Your age should be in between 21 to 30 years old.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate.
