i am a student of final year BE in information technology , i am interested to provide service to the central bureau of investigation , so please clarify my following doubts about it , finally my question is :
1.what is the procedure to apply a job in CBI ?
2.Is it possible to apply a job for CBI when you are in final year of BE ?

CBI conducts examination for selection of sub-inspector of police in cbi which is held once in a year. This exam is held generally in the month of febuary.Recruitement for sub-inspector was published last year in october in employment news. CBI also recruit officiers in the rank of police and other non- police staffs.

2.Education criteria is grudate in any decipline from recognized university.

To get into CBI you will need to answer an entrance test. There is an entrance test which is conducted by UPSC called SSC exam. Every year it recruits members from this exam.

After you clear the entrance test you will be called for an interview futher which you have to appear for a physical fitness test. If you all clear all the 3 stages you will be entitled to join CBI

I am not quite sure about your 2nd question. So can't comment over it.

CBI functions under Ministry of Personnel. Its recruitement is done by UPSC.
you have to first clear written exam followed by interview and then physical exam.
Some posts are filled by deputation from State police.

Yes,since its a combined Graduate level examination you can apply for the CBI when your in the final semester of the fourth year course of BE.Its just a consideration provided for candidates who are in their final semesters.But make sure you submit all the educational certificates at the time of interview.

Crime Branch CBI is a specialised wing in many state police forces in India of their
Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

Other branches of the CID are
State Crime Investigation Bureau
Finger Print Bureau
and Scientific Section.


To join in CBI you need to write the EXAM conducted by UPSC...!!

for that you need to have good physical strength also like any armed force..

You can apply for the ASI post in CBI branch after completion of graduation..
To be an ASI in central bureau of investigation one has to go through a selection process ,
which consists of a written test and a Oral exam which is conducted by Stuff selection commission..

Eligibility criteria for ASI in CBI:-

*Educational qualification:-

1.You must have complete you bachelor degree in any branch..

**Age criteria:-

1.The candidates age should be in between 20-27 years..
For SC/ST the age relaxation is 5years and for OBC the age relaxation is 3years..

***Physical Fitness:-

a)Height:-
1.MEN-165cms.
2.WOMEN-150cms.
Height relaxation for Hillsmen-5cms..

b)Chest:-

1.76cms with expansion(No such requirement for Women).

c)Eye sight:-
Eye sight with/with out glasses..
1.Distant vision:6/6in one and 6/9 in other.
2.Near vision : 0.6 in one and 0.8 in other...

After completion of your BE course, you can apply for this post..

CBI stand for Central Bureau of Investigation. For Job in CBI Check The Notification If Any Notification Than Read And understand The Instruction How To Fill Application Form.
