sir i am gayathri now i am doing Bcom(professional accounting) . My aim is to became an incometax officer so i want to know the procedure of examination sir?

hai,

To become a Income Tax Officer (ITO) first you can crack the exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission(SSC) once in a year.

Eligibility criteria for Income Tax Department :


Candidates required degree for the post of tax assistant or Income tax officer with minimum of 60% marks.

The relaxation in the academic qualification is also available for the reserved categories.

The age should be between 21 years to 30 years. But the rules change every year in the case of age limitation of the candidates.So the candidates are advised that you must check the notification.

Physical Requirements:

Height : 157.5 cm

Chest : 81 cm full expanded with min expansion of 5 cm

Arithmetical Ability
General English
General Intelligence
General Awareness

Selection Process :

Written Examination
Personal Interview

dear aspirant

as you are in b.com professional you want to be a income tax officer,
minimum requirement for income tax officer is graduation degree from a recognized college with 60% in graduation ,

age limit is 21 to 30 years
age relaxations for reserved as per govt. standards,

pay scale of income tax officer is 9300-34800 with grade pay of 4600,

To become a Income Tax officer you have to appear in the SSC conducted Combined Graduate Level exams

This Exam is conducted by SSC each year.

Educational qualifications:
Bachelors Degree Pass in any stream
No Minimum Percentage is required in Graduation

AGE-
Minimum 18 years
Maximum 27 years
OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations

Next Tier 1 Exam of the SSC Combined Graduate level will be held in May 2014 Notification and advertisement will come out in Jan 2014

Questions will be asked from the Below Sections in this Exams:
>> English Comprehension
>> General Awareness
>> Quantitative Aptitude
>> General Intelligence and Reasoning

You will able to become an Income Tax Officer by appearing in SSC CGL(Combined Graduate Level).This exam is conducted by Staff Selection Commission.Through this exam you can also apply for various other post,such as for :-

1. Custom Officer.
2. Sales Tax Officer.
3. Presidential Secretariat.
4. Sub Inspector Officer.
5. Excise department Officer.

Nationality :- You should be an Indian.

Academic qualification required :-

• You should have a bachelor degree in any discipline from any recognized university.
• Candidates who will be in final year,will not be able to apply for SSC CGL exam until they do not pass in Bachelor degree final exam.

Age Required :-

• Your minimum age should be 18 years.
• Your age should not be above 27 years.

Candidates who are from SC and ST category will get 5 years of age relaxations after crossing the upper age limit and OBC candidates will be 3 years of age relaxations.

Selection Process :- This exam will be conducted in three phases.These are :

1. Preliminary Exam (Objective Type).
   
2. Mains Exam (Objective Type).
3. Personal Interview.

Details for Preliminary Exam :

• All questions will be objective type with multiple choice answers.
• Total duration of written exam will be 2 hour and 40 minutes.
• Total number of questions will be 200 and each questions will be of 1 marks.
• Questions will be from four sections and these sections will be General Reasoning,General Mathematics,General Knowledge and English Grammar.

Details for Mains Exam :

• Under this exam there will be two questions set.
• Each questions set will be of 2 hour and each questions set will be of 200 marks.
• Set I will include question from General English and Comprehension and Set II will include question from General Mathematics.

How to Apply :

You will have to visit its officioal website for Online form fill up process and authenticated website is ssc.nic.in . Candidates from OBC and General Category will have to pay Rs 100 as Examination Fee and for SC and ST candidatesthey will have to pay Rs 50.Its exqam notification comes in the first week of March each year.

Final year candidates can also be eligible.

You must be a citizen of india.

The age limits is 18 years to 27 years,

3 years upper age relaxation for the OBC candidates,

5 years upper age relaxation for the OBC candidates.,

10 years upper age relaxation for the Physically handicaped candidates.

Physical Stands :

Walking : 1600 Meters in 15 min

Cycling : 8KM in 30 Min
