Income Tax Officer Exam is conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) to recruit the Income Tax Officer.

Those candidate have completed graduation degree from recognized university are eligible for INCOME TAX OFFICER exam.

To become Income Tax officer you have to pass the Civil Services Exam conducted by the Union Public.

Also your age should be in between 18 years to 27 years.

The upper age limit will be relaxed by 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

Eligibilty to apply for this exams is:

No Minimum Percentage is required in Graduation

AGE- Minimum 18 years
Maximum 27 years
AGE Relaxations- 3 years for OBC candidates, 7 years for SC/ST candidates

1. Ordinarily Residents: a person who lives in India for more than one hundred and eighty-two days of a financial year and he has to pay tax.
2. Non- ordinarily Residents: a person who does not live in India for more than one hundred and eighty-two days of a financial year. He has to pay tax for the income accumulated in India.
3. Non Residents: a person who stayed outside India for 7 to 9 years is considered as non resident. He is entitled for income tax only for income produced in India.
