i want to know that now i m doing BBA and after passing BBA can i join income tax office. that i know there is a entrance exam for becoming income tax officer.

after clearing entrance exam there is a direct admission in income tax office

The Staff Selection Commission conducts entrance examination for the post of Inspector in Income Tax Department. The examination is known as Combined Graduate Level Examination and a graduate in any discipline may write the examination, irrespective of the percentage of marks secured in the same.
After completion of BBA, you too will be eligible to apply for the examination provided you have attained 18 years of age. The maximum age limit to apply for the Combined Graduate Level Examination is 27 years for candidates belonging to general category, 30 years for candidates belonging to OBC category and 32 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST category.

staff selection commission conducts examination when there would be vacancies fill form and clear it and after that you wold be an interview then if you pass that you would become an income tax officer.hope the ans is correct?

If you are interested in doing job in Income Tax Department then first of all you have to appear in the SSc exam for Income Tax Inspector.
After getting this job,then you have to give the International promotion test for the ITO.
The main eligibility for the purpose of admission test as follows.

-->>Minimum qualification required is graduation in any stream.
-->>The minimum marks required is 55% in graduation for general category.
-->>Apply for the SSC combimed graduate level test for the Income Tax Officer.

After cleaning the test then you have to give the international promotion test for the post of ITO.
If you clear the IAS test then you will directly get the post of A.I.C.T which is upward the post of ITO.

Income tax officer exam is conducted by Staff Selection Commission.

ELIGIBILITY FOR INCOME TAX OFFICER:-
> Pass graduation with commerce stream from recognized university.
> Age limit is 21-27 year for open category.
For ST/SC candidate age limit is 21-30 year.
> Candidate must be citizen of India.

There are two stage of selection:-
> Written Exam
> Interview

yes there is a entrance exam to became a income tax officer . Such exams are conducted by MPSC exam. This willmheld in following way
1. prelim exam
2.main exam
3.interview
By passing all of these you will became a income tax officer

The job of Income Tax Officer is to collect tax and take action against tax evaders. No matter how big is a individual or the corporate, Income Tax Officer has every right to take strong action against him.


Income Tax Officer plays major role in preventing money laundering and could take strict action if any individual find guilty of the crime. As you may know that only 6 percent people in the country pay taxes.


Income Tax is one of the major source of revenue for the government. To build infrastructure, offer subsidy, electricity, water, roads, government need money and a large chunk of this money comes through Income Tax that we pay.


Income Tax Officer works for IT Deparment which comes under Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT). Ministry of Finance has complete control over the CBDT. To become Income Tax officer, candidates are required to clear entrance exam conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC).



Eligibility

1. You should be Indian citizen.

2. A graduation degree from a recognized university.

3. Final year students may also apply.

4. The age limit is 18 to 27 years for Income Tax Officer Exam.

5. There is 3 years relaxation in upper age limit for OBC.

6. SC/ST gets 5 years relaxation.



Exam Pattern

1) Preliminary Exam

Similar to the IAS/IPS exam, there is a preliminary exam for Income Tax Officer. There are two papers in the exam.


General Intellegence and General Awareness

Arithmetic


2) Main Exam


After clearing the preliminary exam, candidates are called to appear for the Main Exam. A total of 5 papers have to be given in main exams.


General Studies

English

Arithmetic

Language

Communication Skill and Writing



3) Interview

The Main exam is followed by personal interview after which you will get the job.

Age

Age should not be not less than 18 years and not greater than 27 years on the first July of the year of examination

Physical Standards (Minimum)

a)Height :157.5cm
b)Chest :81cm ,fully expanded with a minimum expansion of 5 cm
c)Physical Test:
i)Walking:1600 meters in 15 minutes
ii)Cycling:8 Km in 30 minutes

Exam Procedure:
