sir, I have completed my 10+2 in 2008, my age is exceeding 19 years.Now what is the way of getting admission in air force ?

Dear Friend

As your age is exceeding 19 years so you can't apply for NDA examination
for entry into Indian Air Force.

If you are presently doing engineering then you can apply for Indian Air Force
through CDS examination.

if you are doing graduation (other then engineering) then you can apply for Indian
Military Academy and Officers Training Academy through CDS examination.

The career as an officer in Indian air force can be achieved at the following stages....

1. - intermediate
2. - graduation
3. - engineer
4. - post graduate

(10+2)intermediate:-

At this stage Students can join Indian air force by taking NDA(National defense academy) exam conducted twice in year through UPSC

- But for this exam your age, as per given eligibility is not satisfied..


Eligibility Criteria
To join the NDA you need to fulfil the following requirements:

Age
16 ½ to 19 years*

Educational Qualifications

You should have passed your 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics. Final year students can also apply.

Nationality
Indian

Gender
This is applicable only to unmarried men.

- flying branch
- technical branch
- ground duty branch

Flying branch Eligibilty:-

Graduate ( Three Year Course ) in any discipline from a recognised university (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) / BE / B Tech( Four Year Course) .
Final Year students can also apply, provided thay donot have any backlogs.
No Percentage Bar for CDSE entry.

Technical Branch entry is via any of the two schemes..

Eligibility:-

Age - 18 to 28 years*

Marital Status - Candidates below the age of 25 years should be Unmarried.

Nationality - Indian

Gender - A pplicable to both men and women.

For Aeronautical Engineer – Electronics
Educational Qualification:-

Candidates applying for Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) Branch would be eligible if they have undergone any one of the follwing Educational

Qualifications
Four year degree qualification and secured a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together from a recognised university

Or
For Aeronautical Engineer-Mechanical
Educational Qualification:-

Candidates applying for Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) Branch would be eligible if they have undergone the follwing Educational

Graduate Degree in commerce ( B Com) with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together

Post Graduate Degree in commerce ( M Com) / CA / ICWA with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together

Now you have little chance to join Air force but after your graduation you can join the Indian Air force as an officer. CDS is exam to be conducted for the recruitment in Air force as an officer for the graduate candidate. So you have chance to join this time Air force.

Well as NDA is only way for 12th pass students to join INDIAN AIR FORCE but as
you said you are already 19 years so it mean that you will not be eligibile for
NDA I exam next year as the eligibility for NDA is you must be between 161/2
to 19 years and you have passed 10+ 2 with PCM as a subjects.

As there is also no TES entry applicable for air force branch so even you can not fill it .

Now last option for you through which you can join IAF is CDSE:

Eligibility for CDSE::

You must be graduate and have passed 10+ 2 with physics and mathematics as subjects
You should be between 21 to 23 years

How to join Air Force :

After completing 12th exam you can join Air force through NDA exam.
But your age is exceeding 19 years so you are not eligible for NDA exam
because for appear in NDA exam the age must be between 16 1/2 to 19
years at the time of appear in the examination.

If you are presently doing graduation then you can apply for the CDS
exam which is conducted by UPSC twice in a year. After clear written exam you will be call for the personal interview test nd after selection you will be called for the training.

The age limit for NDA -16.5-19 yr.
On 1st july of exam year.but you have exceeded the age limit so, after high school exam you are not eligible to appear in NDA.
You will have another chance to get in indian air force, after graduation. You can appear in CDS (combined defence services) after graduation (maths background, in high school), conducted by UPSC, twice in a year. For more information on exam you can visit the official site of upsc-www.upsc.gov.in

To join in indian air force You have two ways of entry. They are NDA and

CDS. Since you have exceeded 19 you cannot undergo NDA exam. So your

hope is CDS exam and for writing CDS exam you need to be an engineering

graduate. After finishing engineering or in the third year apply for CDS

examination.

so you can't apply for air force exam after 10+2 because your age above 19.

after completion graduation you can apply for this post.

You can join Air force only through NDA exam.And your age should be above 18years.
If you are do graduation you can apply for CDS exam.

there is the opportunity for to appear in the NDA exam, conducted by UPSC twice in a year..the age limit exist for this is 16.5-19 year. you must have subjects PCM in your 12th class, then you are eligible for air wing & naval wing , otherwise you are only eligible for army wing.

Since your age is exceeding 19 years,hence you wont be able to appear for the NDA..

If you want to join Indian Air Force then you will have to sit for NDA examination conducted by UPSC.

NDA details :

Educational qualification :You will have to pass 10+2 examination.

Age criteria :You must have 16.5 to 19 years of age.

as your age exited more than 19 years.

so you are not eligiable.

>>age limit is 16.5- 19 years.

>>minimum 12th pass in science.

but you can join in the Air Force after doing graduation course.

You should apply for the NDA exam if you find eligible for it. The minimum marks required is 60% and age should be in between 16 ½ year to 19 years. This exam is conducted by the UPSC so more information can be got by the upsc website www.upsc.gov.in
