Since you have completed diploma in Electronics and Communications, the best option at the moment is to apply for the B.Tech course. You can take admission for the bachelor of technology course through lateral entry scheme.

B.Sc is not as good option as the Bachelor of Technology course. To appear for it you must have completed diploma which you have. Now the procedure of admission will be different for you in comparison to students who have completed 12th standard.

The candidates who have completed 12th standard apply for the following exams to get admission:

IIT-JEE

AIEEE

BITSAT

ISEET

UPSEE

GUJ-CET

However none of these exams are for diploma holders. Neither they allow the candidate to take admission through lateral entry scheme. The Lateral Entry Scheme allows students who have completed diploma to take admission in the second year of the B.Tech course.

The Lateral Entry Scheme makes B.Tech a 3 years graduation course for the diploma holder. Therefore you should avail the benefit of this scheme and take admission for the B.Tech through lateral entry scheme.

To do so you will have to appear for the Lateral Entry Engineering Test (LEET) which is conducted in various states across the country. The criteria to appear for the Lateral Entry Engineering Test is that candidate should have completed diploma in Engineering from a recognized university with minimum of 60 percent marks.

There are other entrance exams as well which allow students with 50 percent marks in diploma to also appear for the exam. It should also be noted that various colleges in India offer direct admission for diploma students through their own entrance exam or without any entrance exam.

After EC in diploma, you can try for engineering degree in electronics and communication. Post Graduate Diploma in Electronics Engineering, Post Graduate Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication, etc can also be selected. Admission to engineering degree can be opted through lateral entry. Qualifying lateral entry entrance test allow you to join 2nd year of engineering degree. Make selection of course according to your interest.
