My height is 153cm.i am very much interested to join merchant navy.but the main problem is my height .can i join merchant navy with the height of 153 cm.Please send the answer

The Physical Eligibility for the Merchant Navy are :--

A candidate should be physically and mentally fit.

1. Eye Sight = 6/6,

2. Height = 167 cms,

3. Weight = 50 Kg

4. Chest = 77 cm (Normal) / 82 cm (Expanding)

If my height is 155cm then i can join MN.

My height is 154cm so how can i apply in merchant navy?

>> Educational qualification

- The candidate should be minimum eligible for Marine engineering is 10+2 with physics, chemistry and mathematics.
- 10+2 Passed in Minimum 60%.

>> Age limit
- 17 to 25 years.

>> Marital Status
- Only Unmarried candidates will be considered.

>> Physical Fitness
- Eye sight: 6/6 permissible upto +2.5
- Height : Minimum 157 cms.
- Weight : Minimum 50 kgs.

- Diploma in Marine Engineering
- Bachelor of Technology in Marine Engineering
- Bachelor of Engineering in Marine Engineering
- Master of Engineering in Marine Engineering
- Master of Technology in Marine Engineering

>> Expected salery

The minimum eligibility criteria in Medical Fitness required to join Indian Merchant Navy is :-

Weight - 50 Kg or above
Height - 157 cms or above
