Quote:
JEE Main Exam (formerly called AIEEE Exam) is conducted by CBSE for admission to NITs, IIITs, CFIs all over India. A candidate has only 3 consecutive attempts to appear for JEE Main Exam. JEE Advanced Exam JEE Advanced Exam (formerly called IIT-JEE Exam) is conducted jointly by IITs for admission to IITs, ISM Dhanbad, IT-BHU. A candidate has only 2 consecutive attempts to appear for JEE Advanced Exam. A candidate can appear for JEE Advanced Exam only if he/she has qualified JEE Main Exam. Candidates may refer following decent books for preparation of these exams: 35 Year IIT-JEE + 11 Year AIEEE Topicwise Solved Paper Chemistry by O. P. Agarwal, Deepak Agarwal Publisher: Disha Publication (2015) Price: Rs. 278 35 Years IIT-JEE + 11 Years AIEEE Topicwise Solved Papers Physics by Sunil Batra Publisher: Disha Publication (2015) Price: Rs. 263 35 Years IIT-JEE + 11 Year AIEEE Topicwise Solved Papers Mathematics (Paperback) by Mamta Batra Publisher: Disha Publication (2015) Price: Rs. 251 |

Re: How many attempts will be available for JEE Advanced on 12th basis?
A candidate can attempt JEE (Advanced) a maximum of two times and that too in consecutive years. That means JEE (Advanced) 2016 should be either the candidate's FIRST attempt OR the SECOND consecutive attempt.
