Re: How much is the minimum percentage required to go for IPS entrance exam?
You did not mention your highest level of academic qualification which plays an important role in deciding your eligibility to join IPS.
The minimum academic qualification that is required for the candidates in order to join IPS or any other civil service will be Graduation. Candidates who have completed Graduation in any stream are eligible to apply for IPS. There is no separate Entrance Exam to join IPS. Instead, there is a single common written exam in order to be placed in any of the civil service like IAS IPS IFS etc. The Entrance Exam is CSAT Exam which is a preliminary exam. Once you have get through this Exam, you have to appear for Main exam. Many of the candidates will no get succeed in this exam only and the final phase of selection procedure is Interview. You did not mention whether you are a Graduate or not. If you are not a Graduate, then I suggest you to opt for the Graduation in the stream in which you are interested. If you have already completed your Graduation, then you can directly apply for Civil Services Exam. Your age should be between 21-30 years to apply for this exam and you should be a citizen of India. Wish you all the best. |
