Dear Aspirant,


IPS Stands for Indian Police Service this Exam is conducted by UPSC every year for Those candidate who are aspiring to become an IPS Officer.....

A candidate who are wishing to become an IPS Officer he/she Should have first of all have to complete their Graduation Degree in any field....

There is No Any Percentage Requirement for IPS all is just you have to passed out your Graduation degree then you are eligible for it.....

While Studying Final Year of Graduation you can also apply for the same....

Age Criteria:


Age of candidate should be between 21 to 30 years, Relaxation for OBC +3 years on upper age, for SC/ST +5 years on upper age......

Physical Requirement:


Height of candidate should be at least 157 Cm...

Chest Expansion at least 5 Cm....

Eyesight of candidate should be at least 6/6....

Dear There,

The acronym for IPS is Indian Police Services.

The eligibility criteria required for the IPS examination are prescribed as below:-

* Completion of graduation in any discipline from any recognized institution.

* Final year contendors are also eligible.

* Age limit:- 21-30 yrs.

* Age relaxation:- 3 yrs for OBC and 5 yrs for SC/ST contendors.

* No percentage required.

* Physically and mentally fit.

* Nationality:- Indian.

IPS exam is conducted by UPSC every year.To become an IPS Officer you need to crack Civil Service Exam.

You need focused study of subjects. You should analyze the syllabus, and hard work is needed to crack this examination.

There is no percentage criteria for IPS exams.........
  • Minimum qualification required to appear for IPS exams is Graduation from a recognized university.
  • Age Limit:General - 21 to 30 yrs
    OBC - 21 to 33 yrs
    SC/ST - 21 to 35 yrs
    Defence Personnal - 21 to 33 yrs
    Ex serviceman - 21 to 35 yrs
  • Number of Attempts:
    Four attempts for open, seven for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs. If a person appears in the Preliminary Examination or even one paper is counted as an attempt.

I am chitra in 11th standard (arts stream). I wanted to know that what should I study in 11th for I.P.S.'s studies as I want to be an I.P.S. Suggest any preparation course or should I start my studies from today...

I am muzamil. Started degree this year. My study is average and i am an average grade student. Becoming an I.P.S Officer is my dream and i want to struggle and become I.P.S officer. What should i do from now to become an I.P.S officer.??

Now i want to know that how much time i need to get enogh knowledge about IPS exam
And is der any rule that i need 60% of marks in law for preparation of IPS
