Bachelor degree in any subject is the basic qualification required for IPS. Maximum age allowed is 30 years. Upper age is relaxable for reserved category students. OBC candidates can have 3 year age relaxation where as SC/ST candidates can have 5 year relaxation in age. Candidates must also satisfy certain physical standards like height, weight, and eye vision.

IPS stands for Indian Police service.IPS exam is conducted by UPSC. There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam.This exam is conduct through Civil Service Exam . Graduation degree with minimum percentage marks from any discipline.Not required any kind of percentage marks in graduation degree . Final year student are applicable for IPS Exam. Age criteria :- Minimum Age = 21 years old Maximum Age = 30 years old Age relaxation for OBC candidate is 3years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years. Exam Eligibility;- 1-You must be passed a graduate degree from a Indian recognized university 2-There is no percentage requirement 3-Appearing in final year candidates are also eligible. Age limits;- General age limits is 21-30 years. Age relaxation is given reserved category students. Age relaxation;--- 3 years age relaxation for OBC category 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST category 10 years for PH candidates Number Of Attempts;- 4 times for General category Candidates 7 times for OBC candidates No limit for SC/ST category All the best................. |

Dear Friend, IPS stands for Indian Police service This exam is conducted by UPSC..... A candidate must have completed their graduation Degree in any Discipline from recognise universities are eligible for Indian Police service exam.... Final year students are also eligible for this exam.... There are not required any percentage marks in graduation degree ..... Citizenship Of India.... General Age Limit is 21-30 years. but there is relaxation is available for reserved category.... OBC relaxation in upper age +3 years , SC/ST relaxation in upper age +5 years.... There are only 4 attempts for General category for OBC 7 attempt limit and for SC/ST no attempt limit..... Exam Pattern:

The IPS exam is conducted by the UPSC.
The qualification needed and other eligibility criterion for the IPS exam is given below- ~~~Only those candidates who have a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university can appear for the exam. ~~~There is no such percentage cutoff, so one can apply with any graduation score. ~~~The age limit for the exam is of 21-30 years. IPS exams are conducted by UPSC every year.
Minimum qualification required to appear for IPS exams is Graduation from a recognized university. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Educational Qualifications for IPS : Bachelor’s degree of a recognized university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification. Age limit: 21 years must be completed on 1st August of the year, which a candidate is appearing. Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs. Number of Attempts: Four attempts for open, seven for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs. If a person appears in the Preliminary Examination or even one paper is counted as an attempt.
