Actually you can appear for IAS with any percentage. The criteria set by the Union Public Service Commission for the Indian Administrative Service exam is graduation degree. There is no minimum percentage criteria which candidates are required to met.


Therefore if you have completed graduation then feel free to apply for the IAS entrance exam. The forms are made available during November or December for the Indian Administrative Service Exam.


The first exam to be conducted would be Preliminary exams that are conducted in May. There will be two papers in the preliminary exam. You should start preparing for the IAS exam as soon as possible because it is not easy to get selected when more than 5 Lakh candidates are applying for 200-300 seats.


The second set of exam is known as Main Exam which is conducted in August/September. Only those who pass the preliminary exam are eligible to appear for Main Exam.

1. You should be Indian citizen.

2. Minimum qualification requirement is graduation degree in any discipline.

3. There is no minimum percentage criteria for IAS.
