Re: Minimum percentage required in graduation to appear for IAS exam?
There is no need of any percentage of marks in Graduation for IAS exam. Only a pass in Graduation is sufficient to apply for this along with other qualifications.
There is also no specific IAS examination. To become an IAS(Indian Administrative Service) officer one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Examination conducted by UPSC every year. Besides an aspiring candidate being a Graduate in any stream of education from a recognised University, must be an Indian National within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate. The final year candidate appearing for Graduation Degree exam is also eligible to apply for Civil Service Exam. The selection of candidate is through two stages of written exam along with final selection through Personal Interview. The Two Stages written exams are:- CSAT - CIVIL SERVICE APTITUDE TEST which is also called as Preliminary Exam comprises of all objective type questions as per prescribed syllabus. CIVIL SERVICE MAIN EXAM comprises of subjective type questions from prescribed syllabus. For more information you may log on to http://www.upsc.gov.in |
