How should I become an IPS Officer? How should I prepare for this?
i very much to become an ips officer.please say how should i prepare for the exams

You have not mentioned your current qualification. If you are graduate then you are eligible for the IPS. As a first step you need to appear for the CSAT an aptitude oriented test. If you clear the same you will be eligible for the Mains. In this exam you should prepare for any two subjects mentioned in the list provided in UPSC site. You can probably select the subjects based on your area of specialisation during graduation.

IPS - INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE, to become an IPS officer one has to appear and crack Civil Service Examination conducted by UPSC once every year.
The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidate up to 5 years and for OBC up to 3 years. There is certain prescribed Physical standard to be maintained for those applying for IPS. HEIGHT:- General Male-165cm and Female-150cm SC/ST Male-160cm and Female-145cm CHEST:- Male-85cm and Female-79cm, Expandable to 5cm for both the cases. The selection is through three phases:- CSAT-CIVIL SERVICE APTITUDE TEST-PRELIMINARY EXAM comprises of all objective type questions. CIVIL SERVICE MAIN EXAM comprises of subjective type questions from the prescribed syllabus. PERSONAL INTERVIEW As the Civil Service exam is very tough and competitive, one should rigorously prepare for the same as per syllabus at least one year before sitting for the exam.
