How to start preparation for IAS entrance exam? Which coaching is better in Lucknow?


friends I want to start preparation for I.A.S.2013, can anyone suggest me what strategy I should adopt and which coaching is better for this in Lucknow(I live near jankipuram).plz reply...

Hey friend,


The general information regarding the IAS exam is that it stands for Indian Administrative Service and this exam is conducted for the post of IAS Officer.

This exam is held every year and you can attempt on writing this exam on the condition that you need to have satisfied the framed criteria's for the exam and they are:

>> The Nationality standard which states that the candidate must be a citizen of India.

>> The age limit states that 21-30 years for candidate who is from General category.

>> If in the case of you from SC/ST category then you should have 21-35 years and for OBC candidate it is 21-33 years as for these category there are upper age relaxation

>> The education qualification for the IAS exam states that the candidate must have completed a degree from a recognized university with a fair percentage and you can possess a degree in any discipline as it is not going to affect.

The candidate who tend to satisfy all these above mentioned criteria is eligible for applying for the IAS exam to join in as a IAS officer.

This exam selects candidates through 3 stages which are:

>> Preliminary Exam

>> Main Exam

>> Interview

You need to pass through all the 3 stages to be becoming a IAS Officer.

Yes, definitely you are eligible to apply for UPSC Civil services examination after completing your Graduate course to become IAS Officer, IAS stands for Indian Administrative services and to become IAS you need to cracked the UPSC Civil services examination.

This examination is conducted by UPSC, every year and the notification will be published in the employment Newspaper or in the official UPSC website.

When the notification Published online registrations was already started and eligible candidates fill the application form online from the official website of UPSC, Graduation is the minimum requirement to apply for this examination, final year graduate candidates are also eligible to apply for UPSC Civil services examination.

This examination is conducted in these 2 stages, preliminary examination and Main examination.

Firstly, you have to cracked the preliminary examination, this examination is objective one and there are two papers in this examination and you have to appear for both papers in same day. If you cracked this examination, you are eligible for Mains. For Civil service examination, you need to choose two optionals for Mains exam.

To be eligible for this exam, you must in the age group 21-30 yrs (relaxation for reserved category). Number of attempts are also limited, 4 for general, 6 for OBC, while SC/ST no limit.

When coming to preparation of IAS exam,you need to pass through Preliminary,Mains and Interview.
I hope that you are met with the eligibility criteria required to sit for the examination. You must be having a Degree from a recognized university.Your age should be between 21-30 years by the time of examination.

In the three stages of examination Preliminary is qualifying test. It tests your grip on General studies. UPSC civil services is neither a very tough exam nor so easy. If you are doing a planed study then i am sure that you will crack this exam.
Tips For Cracking exam is
Collect the study material, test papers
Be confident
never think negative thinking in your mind
read news paper daily. reading newspaper is very beneficial for you because you cover a lot of awareness from this.
be regular that means continuity in your study is very important part of your preparation.
make a friend circle where you can discuss your problem related to UPSC
