Date of Notification: 19.02.2011 Last Date for Receipt of Applications: 21.03.2011 Date of Exam: 12.06.2011 For complete details go to http://www.upsc.gov.in For your information other details about the exam are: Eligibility Criteria : 1.Age limit 21 years must be completed on 1st August of the year, which a candidate is appearing. Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs . Ex-servicemen will get 5 more years exemption from the prescribed age limit The date of birth accepted by the Commission is that entered in the Matriculation or Secondary School Leaving Certificate or in a certificate recognized by an Indian University as equivalent to Matriculation or in an extract from a Register of Matriculates maintained by a University, which extract must be certified by the proper authority of the University or in the Higher Secondary or an equivalent examination certificate. 2. Educational Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification. 3. Number of Attempts Four attempts for open, seven for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs. If a person appears in the Preliminary Examination or even one paper is counted as an attempt. 4. Restrictions on applying for the examination: A candidate who is appointed to the Indian Administrative Service or the Indian Foreign Service on the results of an earlier examination and continues to be a member of that service will not be eligible to compete at this examination. Because Any Candidate who have passed there Graduation in any field wheather through regular mode or Distance Mode, Are eligible to appear for Civil Service Exam. And For IAS Exams, The Age Should Between 21-30 years. So, Please dont worry, You Are Eligible to Appear for This Exams. The Notification Of this Exams Was Already Announced And Availiable In The Official Website. And the Last Date Of Apply for This Exams Was 21/March/2011. yes you can apply for IAS...because...
Educational qualification: Any graduate in any field from any recognized university is eligible for IAS. Age limit: 21 years to 30 years. The exam for IAS is on 12th June, 2011. (i) Age limits :
21-30 years as on 1.7.2011. (Upper age limit relaxable for SCs/STs, OBCs and certain other categories as specified in Para 3(ii) of Notice). (ii) Educational Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification (Para 3(iii) of Notice). |

IAS eligibility demands that candidate should have done graduation
from a recognized university or college from any stream.Even final year graduation students are eligible to apply on a provisional basis. There is no minimum score/ percentage required whatsoever. Further the age limit for IAS is 21 to 30 years for general category applicants. 33 for OBC applicants and 35 for SC/ST candidates. You will get 4 / 7/no limit number of attempts at UPSC CSE for the above category respectively. Yes you are eligible for the IAS exam.
the eligibility for IAS exam is: A degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be a Deemed University under the UGC Act, 1956, or an equivalent qualification. so there is no importance of percentage you have got in the exam. |

For IAS, you will need to write Civil Service Examination, conducted by UPSC. To take the test, you must be a graduate and between the age limit of 21 years to 30 years. The maximum age limit is relaxed upto the age of 35 years for SC/ST and 33 years for OBC. The application form for the same is available at the designated head post offices and post offices. Apart from offline application form, you may also apply online through www.upsconline.nic.in The examination has three stages Preliminary exam/Civil Service Aptitude Test(to be introduced from this year onwards) Main Exam Interview For further information, you may refer to the official website of UPSC. |

A candidate having graduation can apply for the IAS exam. The IAS exam is conducted by the UPSC every year. The detailed eligibility criteria for the IAS exam is given below: Education Qualification A candidate having graduation in any of the following subjects Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology are eligible to apply for the IAS exam. OR If a candidate having degree in engineering are also also eligible to apply for the IAS exam. AGE LIMIT Candidate applying for the IAS exam should have age between 21 to 30 years. There is a relaxation in age for the reserved category candidates. For SC/ST relaxation of 5 years. For OBC candidates relaxation of 3 years. You are eligible for IAS exam.
To become an IAS officer following Eligibility criteria is there:- 1) Educational Qualification:- The candidate must hold a degree of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University Under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification. 2) Age Limit :- i. A candidate must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination. ii. The upper age limit is relaxed in specific cases as mentioned below: a. upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate belongs to SC/ST. b. upto a maximum of 3 years if the candidate belongs to Other Backward Classes. c. upto a maximum of 10 years in the case of blind, deaf-mute and orthopaedically handicapped candidates. 3) Nationality:- Only Indian nationals are eligible for IAS and IPS. 4) Number of attempts:- The maximum number of attempts restriction is effective from the examination held in 1984. In case other eligibility conditions apply: General candidates: four attempts. Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates: No restriction. Other Backward Classes: seven attempts. Yes.Your are eligible to appear for UPSC exams. There is no minimum percentage for the exam. Age limits : 21 - 30 yrs. The candidate must possess a graduate degree from recognized university. Those in the final year of degree course can also eligible. you are perfectly eligible to give your IAS entrance that is Civil Services Examination. the eligibility criteria for Civils is you should have degree from any Indian University. your nationality must be as indian. you should have certain age limit..i.e., 21 years of min age and as you mentioned 50% i think you have a doubt in your mind whether percentage matters or not absolutely no your percentage doesn't matter no where through out the selection process of civils so don't worry for it... for any further queries click this links www.onestopias.com in this link you'll get all the required info. about CSE .. www.upscportal.com this is also a similar purpose link. all the best ~aditya~ |

Eligiblity criteria -
- Your age should between 21 to 30 years. - You must have a bachelor degree from a recognised University. - Final year appearing candidates are also eligible. The General candidates will gets only 4 attempts in this exams and no limits for SC, ST candidates. The notification are published in the month of february in the employment newspaper & all national dailies. |
