I have studied
11th with commerce stream

can i go with science stream in 12th ?

Dear friend,
If you study commerce in 11th class then you can not take science field in 12th class.You have to continue 12th class with commerce only.if you want to do science in 12th class then you have to drop one year and continue your 12th class with science field that's the only way.

This is totally impossible to change the stream in 12th class from commerce to science. If you are not interested then again you have to study 11th class
with science stream.

i have done 11th in science can i shift from science to commerce in standard 12th

Science and Commerce are the two streams which are given as choices to the students to take them up after they pass out successfully or their Metric or Class 10th.

There is also a third stream which is put on offer, that is Arts/Humanities.


Science stream mainly consists of the Subjects :-

MATHS, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, ENGLISH, and 1 Elective.

Commerce stream mainly consists of the Subjects :-

MATHS, ACCOUNTING, BUSINESS STUDIES, ENGLISH and 1 Elective.


Coming to your query, I am really sorry to say that you cannot change your stream to Science in Class 12th if you have studied Commerce in Class 11th.


This is because the 11th and 12th are in a way related to each other. The syllabus which are asked in the Entrance exams are of combined 11th and 12th class.


Also no school allows the change of stream in Class 12th.

There is only one thing that you can do. You can take one year drop and repeat class 11th with Science stream.

This is the only way by which you can change your stream at the cost of 1 year.

no way it can't be possible ever
you know you can do 11th or 12th with only one stream if you already take commerce in 11th so, you should going with this so,why want you change of this
if you think no one scope in this so, chill out because if you completed 12th with commerce so, you have more and more scope of private or government job in this

Sorry, you can not change your stream of education from Commerce to Science or vise varsa in the middle of a session.

That means you can not change your stream from Commerce to Science in 12th standard when you have admitted in Commerce stream in 11th standard.

If you want to change your stream of education during middle of a session then you have to drop there to change your stream and start a fresh from the beginning of the session with the new stream.

Sorry to say but you cant change your stream in 12th class as 11th is related to 12th infact all the basics for your board class are taught in 11th class.So to change your stream you have to drop one year.You can also contact your school authorities if they allow you to change and you can manage to cover whole syllabus but its quite difficult.

I am sorry to say you that you can not take science in 12th if you have studied commerce in 11th.
To do so you need to take a drop of 1 year and start your career in 11th with science stream

My dear friend,

First thing keep in mind that your basics had been cleared in 11th class only not in 12th class so according to me you have to complete your 11th with science and then only after you have to go for science in 12th because otherwise you know nothing about it in 12th.

As there are three main subjects in science stream either the medical stream or the non-medical stream.

Main subjects in Medical Stream are:

1.Chemistry
2.Physics
3.Biology

Main subjects in Non-Medical stream are:

1.Chemistry
2.Physics
3.Mathematics



So my friend mathematics and biology are the main subjects according to the stream but in the commerce you have different subjects so you have to carry on your study with commerce.

The school allows you but the main thing is that you feel difficult with medical because your basics were not cleared yet.The basics are cleared only in the 11 class not in 12th class.

But if you can do science easily then you have to go but if you feel difficulty then my friend i suggest you to go for commerce stream only.

After completion of 12th with commerce you can go for various types of graduation courses which you want.According to myself you have to complete your study only in the commerce stream not with the commerce stream.But the choice is yours so choose any one.
