Respected sir, I am in my final semester of mechanical engineering. I want to know the eligibility criteria to get into Indian Navy. Entry proceedure. Entry exam. Please give me some guidelines .

First of all...CONGRATULATIONS FOR YOUR DECISION!!!

If you have completed BE/BTech, you can join Indian Navy. But you should have aggregate of 60% percent(1-8th sem) and a passing certificate.

Your age should between 19 to 24. You should have the proofs for that.

Your minimum height should 157 cms if men with correlated weight . Eye Sight: 6/24,6/24 correctable to 6/6 in each eye with glasses. You should not be color/night
blind.

These are the major requirements. To apply, you can download form from internet.

There are two ways to join in Indian Navy after Graduation:

• By appearing Combined Defense Service exam
• By appearing Short Service Commission exams

Eligibility criteria for Navy in Combined Defense service exam:

Minimum graduation degree in engineering field in an recognizes university.
Age should be between 19 to 25 years

Eligibility criteria for Short Service Commission exams:

Minimum graduation degree in Engineering field in an recognized university.
Age should be between19 1/2 to 25 years.

I am persuing with my 3 yrs diploma in Mech.Engg.After diploma I want to join Indian army.
What is the procedure and am I eligible for merchant navy??Please reply as soon as possible.

Eligibility criteria of Indian navy are as follows:

You must be in the age group of 17 to 21 years to apply for this course.

And appear for CDS exam will held in the Feb and Oct every year.And This year CDS-I exam notification was released on 29th Oct 2011 and closed the application on 28th Nov 2011.And exam going to held on 12th Feb 2012.
Then CDS-II exam notification will release on 2nd June 2012 and closing date will 2nd July 2012.And CDS-II exam will held on 16th Sep 2012.

After Graduation in Mechanical Engineering, one is eligible to apply for Indian Navy through applying and cracking CDS(Combined Defence Service) entrance exam conducted two times every year bu UPSC.

Eligibility for CDS Indian Navy:-

-The candidate must be an unmarried Indian Male.
-Should have either appeared for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or B.tech. Degree from a recognised University.
-Should be within the age of 19 to 22 years with no upper age relaxation for any reserved candidate.
-Should have possessed good Physical and Mental Fitness.

The CDS can be applied through on line by payment of required fee for exam.

The selection is through written Exam followed by Personal Interview along with physical fitness and medical test.

Hi there,

Girls are having very less opportunity in ARMY NAVY or AIR FORCE by the way.

As your in Final year of your B tech you can apply for NAVY now itself.

Women's are granted Short Service Commission (SSC) in Naval Architect, Law, Logistics, ATC, Aviation (Observer) & Education Branches.

The government has also given approval for Permanent Commission (PC) in Education, Law and Naval Architect branch on completion of SSC tenure depending upon merit and vacancy.

Indian navy will recruit candidates every year as a sailor to the candidates having education qualification 10+2 in Physics and maths.

The eligibility criteria for the different types of entry in Indian Navy as a sailor is given below:

1.Type Of Entry:
(10+2) Executive, Engineering Electrical & Naval Architecture
You can join Indian navy as a sailor through the above entry scheme. By this entry scheme the candidates will join commission as a permanent commission.

Education Qualification
The candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics & Maths
are eligible to apply through this entry scheme.

AGE LIMIT
The candidate applying for this entry should have minimum age 16.5 years and
maximum is 19 years at the time of training.

Gender:
This entry scheme is only applicable for the male candidates.

2.Type Of Entry:
ARTIFICER APPRENTICE
You can join Indian Navy as sailor through the above entry scheme. The eligibility
criteria for this entry scheme is given below:

Education Qualification:
Candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination and having subjects Physics and maths at 10+2 are eligible to apply for this entry scheme.

AGE LIMIT
The candidate applying for the above entry scheme should have minimum age 17 years and maximum age of 20 years at the time of training.

Gender:
This entry scheme is only applicable for the male candidates.

3.Type Of Entry:
SENIOR SECONDARY RECRUIT
You can also join Indian navy through the above entry scheme as a sailor. The above entry scheme is non commissioned. The eligibility criteria for the above entry scheme is given below:

Education Qualification:
Candidates applying for the above entry scheme should have passed the 10+2 examination and having physics and maths as a compulsory subjects.

AGE LIMIT
Candidates applying for the above entry scheme should have minimum age of 17years and maximum age of 21 years.

Hi friend,

If you want to join Indian Navy, you have to get minimum 60% of marks in your graduation.

After Graduation you can apply for SSC (Short Service Commission) and also CDS (Combined Defence Service ).

Eligibility Criteria for the Indian Navy:

>>The candidate must be the Citizen of India.

>>Candidate must be Unmarried Male.

>>The Age limit is between 19 to 22 years.

The CDS ( Combined Defence Services ) Exam is conducted by the UPSC ( Union Public Services Commission ) two times in a year.

If you fulfill the upper criteria, then just Apply for CDS.

Selection Process:

It consists of two stages:

Stage 1:

>>Intelligent Test

>>Picture Perception

>>Discussion Test

The selected candidates qualifies for Stage 2.

Stage 2:
