Information about IAS entrance exam pattern?
SIR, i am aspirant of IAS but therewill be a roomer that from 2013 onwards IAS mains pattern will changing isnt true or not

Civil services exam for 2013 is conducted in two different stages, prelims and mains. For prelims, you can have questions on general aptitude, India polity and governance, Economic and Social Development, Demographics and Current events of national and international importance. There will be 7 papers for mains exam. Questions on general studies and selected optional subject are there for the exam.

Those candidate are graduate from any recognized university with any discipline are eligible for IAS exam.IAS exam not require any kind of percentage marks in graduation degree. Your age should be in between 21 to 30 years old.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC category as per govt rule. The maximum attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.Also you must be in citizen in India. No , IAS pattern is same as previous .I have discussed about it . IAS Preliminary Exam :- (Paper 1) (200 marks) - Duration : Two hrs.

The acronym for IAS is Indian Administrative Services. IAS examination is the civil services examination, which is conducted UPSC every year. The selection procedure for IAS eexamination is below mentioned:- * Preliminary examination. * Mains examination. * Personnel interview. The eligibility criteria required for the IAS examination are prescribed as below:- * Completion of graduation in any discipline from any accredited college or university. * Final year contenders are also eligible. * Age limit:- 21-30 yrs for General contenders. 21-33 yrs for OBC contenders. 21-35 yrs for SC/ST contenders. * Nationality:- Indian. * No. of attempts:- 4 for General, 7 for OBC and no limits for SC/ST contenders.
