Indian Air Force can be joined through appearing various types of entrance exam depending upon one's academic and age qualifications. The entrance Exams are:-

NDA - NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY entrance exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II. The candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical Fitness.

CDS - COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE the entrance exam which is conducted by UPSC twice every years as CDS-I and CDS-II. The candidate must be an Unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or B.Tech. fropm a recognised University within the age of 19 to 23 years with good Physique.

AFCAT - AIR FORCE COMMON ADMISSION TEST conducted by Air Force. The candidate must be an unmarried Indian National having completed Graduation with 60% marks from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 23 years for Flying branch, 18 to 28 years for Technical branch and 20 to 23 years for Ground Duty branch of IAF.
