dnt be confused.java and .net are very good programming languages. these have their own importance in their field. if ur c and c++ basics clear,u should try to learn java language.becoz java use c language syntax and methods of c++ language.so u can learn java easily. and one thing also be important that u should work hard for programming..regular practice.java is a very good language. java is a very easy, robust, portable platform independent language. and the other one .net is a software framework.and used in web devoloping. i hope u satisfy by my answer. ##amaan## |

dear friend,
I think to get a job in a leading software company it will be better for you to go for the short term course JAVA, rather than .NET.. Because JAVA is the most powerful object oriented language now a days, which is used in every leading software company.. So, it will be better for you to go for the course... Because in training session they will teach you these languages.. So if you know these languages then you can easily cop-up with them.. All the best... |

Dear friend....
i want to suggest you that you can do the java certification for the bright career. Java is a world wide language. it is an platform independent language. .net is a language which was used to the programming purpose, but now in these days the java is the best language. all the IT companies are dedicated to the java language. best of luck. |

Re: Which language to choose between Java and .NET? Which is better in software industry? Does Language Selection affect my campus section?
yup .......java is tough ..... in programming as im experienced in .net field i suggest u to go for .net its also language independent its competitive with java.. lots of languages in it more than 60languages in that c# is similar to c,c .Net is easy compare to java. because most of it is just drag and drop and just writing few lines of code. its most of the code is auto generated and provide many inbuilt control so it is easy to learn. i say .net is also having same preference in as java .. go for .net i know java & .net both are best ... but java is complicated u may earn in java lot but u need to be perfect so try .net

Re: Which language to choose between Java and .NET? Which is better in software industry? Does Language Selection affect my campus section?
hi,
See computer language is set of instrution that your computer understand and performed accordingly. Now question is which languge we have to use is depends on the resourses, time and the reguest preformance. When you deal with small network(intranet) than its better to use .NET because less time consumimg, easy to work ,easy to maintanace and easy to learn. When y r dealing with big network (internet(www)) then its better to use java.Java has uninge features to work with www.Its high speed, platform independence makes its language as work in www (web wite world) highly prefered language. thanks. pragya wellcome for my mistake and correction in that. |

Re: Which language to choose between Java and .NET? Which is better in software industry? Does Language Selection affect my campus section?
Java and .net both are very good and useful Programming language.
I'm not sure what the comparison for jobs is right now, but you can choose java because it has small advantage. if you go for Java, you'll have to learn a whole truck-load of additional technologies and frameworks. if you go for .Net, you'll need to know C#, Sharepoint, SQL Server, and other Microsoft technologies. If u have knowledge of C & C++, then java would not be very difficult to you. if you want to learn java then go for it & leave .net if you want to learn .net then go for it & leave java now it is your choice. good luck... |
