At first its a very good idea to do genetic engineering.u need a good knowledge in biology that too avery good knowledge in genetics(a topic covered in ur chapers of biology)after ur 10+2 u need to join for degree and then the PHD in genetics or genetic engineering...mathes required for this will be covered in ur course only u just need to have some idea about maths.

No of course not. Even IIT's provide engineering degree in Biological Sciences and Bio-Engineering and for that you have to qualify the JEE which has PCM as its subjects and not the Biology.

GENETIC engineering is one of the most evolving subject in india genetic engineers have great demand all over the world ELIGIBILITY FOR GENETIC ENGINEERING: --10+2 with science stream with biology or maths with 50% aggregate --you should have to get good ranking in following entrance exam to get admitted to best university: IIT-JEE BITS AIEEE CET etc specialization in this field: classical genetics behavior genetics clinical genetics molecular genetics salary: 20000/-to 50000/- in starting good luck |
