My DOB is 05/09/2000, so as per my DOB can you explain whether am I eligible to write in upcpmt 2017 or not?

Candidates should have complete minimum 17 years as on 31th December of the year of the admission.

Candidates should have permanent residence of Uttar pardesh

Candidates have to qualify their 12th examination or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.

UP CPMT stands for Uttar Pradesh Combined Pre Medical Test. NEET is only entrance examination to get admission in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in any medical college of any state. As per your Question that your age is 16 years and three month age according to the Age Criteria of UPCPMT Exam, so youare not eligible for this year, please try next year, because the age of applying applicant should be 17 years old on or 31st December, 2016.

The full form of UP CPMT is Uttar Pradesh Combined Pre Medical Test.

1. It is state level pre medical test but not conducted because of NEET. NEET is one and only competitive entrance exam for admission in MBBS or BDS courses in any state of India.

2. According to your date of birth, you are eligible for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2017. You should have done 10+2 with PCB subject and scored minimum of 50% marks.

1. Only candidates who are citizen of India are eligible.
2. Candidates must have completed their 10+2 OR Higher Secondary Certificate examinations or its equivalent examination to be eligible.
3. Candidates who have taken Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in their higher secondary examination are only eligible for the examination.

Instead of UPCPMT and other state PMT there will be a single entrance known as NEET which will be conducted for admission in medical courses in all the medical institutes across India.

The eligibility to appear for examination is that candidate must have passed or appearing for 12th with PCB and the age limit to appear for examination is between 17-25 years.

So, you can appear for examination. The last date of filling application is 1st March 2017.

UPCPMT refers to Uttar Pradesh Common Pre Medical Test and it was held till 2015 for offering admission in MBBS or BDS degree course in medical colleges managed by UP government but from the last year UPCPMT along with AIPMT and other state PMTs has been replaced by a single medical entrance examination known as NEET.

NEET refers to National Eligibility cum Entrance Test and same is held by CBSE once every year for admission in undergraduate medical course in any medical college across India.

Actually from previous year UPCPMT has been replaced by NEET exam that is a pre medical entrance test. So you have to appear in these entrance exam and the minimum age required to appear in this entrance exam is a 17 in the year of admission or will complete the age of 17 on 31st December.
Maximum age should not exceed 25 years where as relaxation in upper age limit is provided to reserved students.

About UP CPMT exm:

UP CPMT stands for Uttar Pradesh Combined Pre Medical Test. It is state level medical entrance exam but not conducted from 2016.

Supreme court in 2016 in order to give transparency in admission in MBBS and BDS course ruled that only NEET will be conducted in place of all state government or private medical entrance exam.

Uttar Pradesh Combined Pre-Medical Test (UPCPMT) is a state level entrance test of Uttar Pradesh for admission to MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, BUMS course. You are interested to know whether you are eligible the exam this year or not.
