i want to know the minimum age limit for joining the air force as i am 17 years old

You can literally touch the sky by joining the Air Force, not to mention that you'll be inside a supersonic jet, going at an incredible speed while doing that. Apart from the thrill and adventure, Air Force offers a fulfilling career for life to you.

The Basic Process
Candidates, short-listed for Air Force after the initial selection procedure, go through a rigorous three-year training regimen at the National Defence Academy, followed by specialised training at the Air Force Academy. Thereafter, they are commissioned as officers and posted as pilots at any of the Air Force Stations.

To be in the National Defence Academy
You can join NDA by taking the exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). This exam is conducted twice a year in all major cities throughout India. To know more about the application process click here.

Eligibility Criteria
To join the NDA you need to fulfil the following requirements:

Age
16 ½ to 19 years*

Nationality
Indian

Gender
This is applicable only to men.

Educational Qualifications
You should have passed your 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics. Final year students can also apply.

Advertisemetn Schedule
March and October every year. ( Advertisement released by UPSC)

dear friend,

For joining AIR FORCE ACADEMY The age limit is 19-23.

as per my knowledge you have not passed 10+2 exam.

after completion of your 10+2 you are eligible for AIR FORCE ACADEMY.

to join in Indian air force the minimum age limit is
16-25 years....
after 10th you can give entrance , if you are selected then you can go for air force

The minimum age for joining the Indian Air force is 17. At this age, you will not be able to join as an officer in the IAF. You will be eligible to apply for technical grade or musical grade. These posts are called Personnel Below Officer Rank. These are divided as GROUP X and GROUP Y.

Yes you are eligible.

You can join Air force through NDA after 12th as an Officer.

The eligibility are as below:

You should be more than 16.5 years of age and have passed 12th class or have given the exam with Maths and Physics as main subjects.

you minimum age for air focre should be 17 year becuase at that age you can apply for NDA and as well as you pass out you 12 class too.

Minimum age limit for joining in Air Force

You can write NDA(national defence academy) exam conducted by UPSC(union public service commission) or CDS(common defence service)

* Candidates should be the citizen of India.
* Candidates should have age limit within 16.5 to 19 years
* Candidates should complete 12th from a recognized institute
* Candidates should study maths and physics at 12th.
* Unmarried male candidates can only appear the exam.
* Candidates should be physically fit.
