The following Examinations are conducted by the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC):

1. Combined Competitive Examination - As per requisition of the Govt. of Assam for recruitment in various posts to the Civil Services, advertisement is generally published through print media inviting applications in prescribed form

2. Departmental Examinations - The APSC also has to conduct Departmental Examinations in every six month for different categories of Govt. officers including All India Service Officers serving under the Govt. of Assam. For this purpose, APSC advertises seeking applications from the intending candidates through all leading news papers of Assam.

The examination consists of two papers of two hours duration each. This examination is meant to serve as screening test only. The marks obtained in the preliminary examination by the candidates who are declared qualified for admission to Main examination are not counted for determining the final selection. this is the minimum qualification that you required:-

The candidate must hold a degree of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University Under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification.


How to Apply:

an application form common for all their examinations, which will be processed on computerised machines. This application form alongwith an Information Brochure containing general instructions for filling up the form, an acknowledgement card and an envelope for sending the application is obtainable from the designated Head Post Offices/Post Offices throughout the country as against cash payment of Rs. 20/- (Rupees twenty only). Form should be purchased from the designated Post Offices only and not from any other agency. This form can be used only once and for only one examination. Candidates must use the form supplied with the Information Brochure only and they should in no case use photocopy / reproduction / unauthorisedly printed copy of the Form. Since this form is electronically scannable, due care should be taken to fill up the application form, correctly. While filling up the application form, please refer to detailed instructions given in the Notice.

you must be graduate...........it is must......

minimum condition for age is 21 to 30 and individial should be graduate from any stream. more detail on www.aspc.nic.in

Sir, it has come to my notice that ACS is going to be held in the month of Dec/2011. I have applied for it before. Do I need to apply for it once again? If not When can I expect to
get my Admit Card? Plz inform.

Can I know the exact date of ACS prelims conducted by APSC? This is required so that i can apply for the leave with the organisation i am working with.

Dear Friend,

To apply for the Assam Civil Service Examination the minimum eligibility criteria is as follows:-

The candidate should be a graduate in any stream from a recognized institute.
The age of the candidate should be between 21 years to 30 years.

Age relaxation is provided to the SC/ST and OBC candidates as par govt. rule.
