I am serving In Indain air force my son has passed XII from Karnataka.
i am obc in my state UP. Can i get OBC reservation in Karnataka

generally the obc reservation is different from state to sate,
one community can get obc status in one state and they may be the majority in the other state ,

so you may have a chance for your son to get obc status depending on the status of your community in Karnataka state

let me clear you first that.....the obc quota is given on the national wise not on the basis of the state level.
so you must get benefit for the obc certificate in any of the state in India.

but according to me you will get the OBC reservation which you deserve

please go through the brouchure of the examination there reservations are clearly mentioned about obcs.....or visit the site of the exam

do you can't do that as for that you have to a domicile of karnataka....and if you are not then you cant come under OBC category of karnataka.......

OBC reservation is different for different state.for karnataka it may be little less and for UP it may be little more.so please mention the state for which you have the OBC certificate.best of luck.

the cream has not been increased for the obc candidates after it was made so in the central government.will this be furnished by 2010??????

for the indian airforce there is no any scheme for the reservation on the basis of the casts.so you can not get the benefits from the reservation, the exam is totally on the merits based,

i am raju and i am trying job in banking sector in goverment. i am a native of UTTER PRADESH(UP) and i studied in Andhra Pradesh (AP). I want to know am i get OBC Reservation in
Andhra pradesh for the job. I have OBC Certificate from UP. This OBC is Valid for other States for the job. pls help me .

Hi friend,

You have not specified your ward stream otherwise it would be more sure to tell the exact reservation percentage. However, you have an OBC certification of UP state, means it would not change evenif you want take admission in any state.

It means that you will always be considered in OBC category , if you apply for admission or a job. However, apart from this , being a serviceman, you are also in the serviceman catergory which is specified for Defense personnals. So its better if you try the same in this category also. As it would increase your son's chances of selection.

OBC RESERVATION

As per the order of honorable supreme court, OBC is reserved all over the country that means at each state OBC reservation is same that is 27% of the total seats available for the post or recruitment.

If you are belongs to OBC category then you are reserved in a particular state at which you are applying.

It is national level scheme of reservation and you will get all the benefits of it any where in the Indian Country.
